I'm looking at throwing some larger tires on my blazer this winter (31x10.5), but of course my speedometer is going to be off. I was wondering if anyone on here has the OBDII speedometer calibrater for these trucks for when the time comes.

Also, tire rack lists 31x10.5 as an optional size, but is it only an option on the ZR2's? I didn't think there was much of a difference between the suspension. Will these work on my turd?

Admins: Feel free to move this in the truck forum if you want...I totally forgot we even had one...

yeah I believe ZR2's come with the 31's. Check out ultimate truck to see how much they would want. you could also ask your local chevy dealership.....
just a few ideas.

whats the stock tire size? If theirs not much of difference i wouldnt worry about it. My toyota came with 235/75?/15 and now i have 31X10.5x15 the only thing id worry about is your gearing. My truck gets worse mpg with the bigger tires so when their done for im switching to 30X9.5X15.

Stock sizes are 235/70R15 for 2 doors and 235/75R15 for the 4 doors. I have 3.42's in back.

There is actually a pretty big difference suspension wise between the reg- 4x4 s-10 and ZR-2's....

Incase anybody was wondering...
The difference between an regular S-10 and a ZR-2: RPO ZR2 only full ladder-type frame with modified suspension mounting points which provide: 100mm wider track (3.9 inches wider than regular S-10). Three-inch suspension height increase. Enhanced front (7.25" ring gear) and rear (8.5" ring gear) axles w/ 3.73:1 rear-axle ratio. Larger wheel and axle bearings. 31 x 10.5R-15 LT/C black wall off-road tires (BFG A/Ts on pickups and BFG Long Trails on BlaZeR2). 46mm gas pressurized Bilstein Monotube shocks. Rear axle track bar (pickups) / rear sway bar (BlaZeR2). Wheel flares (black on S-10 pickups and BlaZeR2 / body-color on Sonoma pickups). 33mm (early model) / 28mm (late model) front anti-sway bar. Skid plates.

I would recommend getting some 3.73 if you're gonna go bigger. You can fit 31's...but you may need a 2" body lift or start hacking to prevent them from rubbing alot.
There are plenty of stock ZR-2's that slightly rub with the factory 31's.

I wouldnt do 31" myself. My toyota is geared 3.48 and i noticed a small decrece in gas mileage and power right away. I also had a friend that had a late 80's early 90's s-10 ant the 31X10.5X15 tires did rub wit the fenders rusted gone.

Thanks guys, I think i'll just bump up to the 235/75r15. I don't want to have to lift the truck. The stock tire size is just way too small.

my tires r 235/75/15 and i have a 2 door...that is the stock size in my door panel....i know plenty of guys on s-10 forums who have put 31's on a stock 4x4....might have a lil rubbing at full turn but otherwise should be ok....
