If the Alaskan Pipe Line provides only 8% of the world supply and factoring the ratio of demand and supply the US provides, how in the fizzle can the price jump up $20 a barrel? Govt weilds a pretty big pimp cane. Look at the people who won Powerball this weekend. $208 million dollar prize, and the govt gets nearly half of that right on the spot. All for doing nothing. You don't even get a ball tickle for your troubles.

Oil companies only gets money when you buy their product.

Govt gets it when you earn money, when you spend money, when you save money, when you win money, when someone dies and they give you money, when you win something that isn't even money....
