1987 Trans am GTA

I am considering the possibility of selling my 1987 hardtop Trans am GTA. I got into a minor accident last night and I dont have the time or the money to fix it right now. It is a 350 TPI 700R4 car. Engine has 104k miles on it and runs great and doesnt smoke at all. The Transmission shifts very nicely. Interior is in decent shape with the only defects being a tear in the drivers seat and the hatch pulldown motor doesnt work. I just recovered the headliner 2 days ago. The car only needs some body work and I really, really wish I could do it but I dont have the means. It was hit on the door and the fender well so the passenger door will not open at the moment. The Passenger side fender has a wave in it from a previous owner. And the pass rear quarter panel has a dent in it from where someone hit me and took off. The drivers side has a few small dents but nothing that is noticable unless you look closely. The spoiler I removed because it was severely cracked and warped. Sorry guys I cant part it out I live in an apt and they wouldnt take to kindly to a car sitting on jackstands, but if u want to buy it and part it out yourself youd probably make some money on it. i would take the 1500. i don't think you will get much more, just because of the body. not bashing you or the car, but yeah the body sells and with out driving or seeing the car in person.. yeah it will be hard.. the inside looks really nice though. minus the driver side seat LOL

i like the 3rd gens and maybe will buy one. one of these days.

Does it have much rust? Body isn't horrible looking or anything, $1,500 is definately fair, IMO. Great parts car or if its clean enough, easy resto project :). Being a GTA/L98 car should give it some value, I'd think.

It has some rust on the fenders but not a whole lot, Undercarriage is in excellent shape and not rotted out at all.

No mechanical problems, Only problem is the body and the hatch pulldown motor doesnt work.

It helped, but it still isnt 100% Im sure it just needs new spark plugs now. It just needs a good tune up.

It's smooth is you give it 5-10% throttle but anything more it has a miss.

Friendly advice, throw some plugs in it so it runs good, like it says it does in your first post, then you should be able to find a buyer. :)
