Not here for the drama, here to help... With that said...

Getting in the 12's with 103 MPH is doable but it would take a stellar 60foot time. Your R/T does not have any bearing on your ET (I assume you know this but you listed it so I am just making sure)

I don't know what your combo consists of, but if these things help any, take them for what they are worth:

1. The air was terrible for drag racing last night. Go racing when the barometer is higher than 30.00 and the humidity and dew point are lower than 50% and you will get better MPH.

2. If the car is a manual tranny car, it always is a good idea to chart your shift points and experiment with them to see where the combo likes to be shifted. This will translate into better ET.

3. Make 60 foot time your first priority; if you concentrate on your 60 foot results, your ET will follow along for the ride. This is something that people overlook more often than anything.

You might do well to create a and keep a journal for when you go racing, and chart everything such as launch RPM weather data, shift points, ect. You can study this data and it will make you a better racer and also make your results better...

Wierd. I was there from 7:30 'till close and I must have missed ya. I loved seeing the jet dragsters last night. One of them broke the track record with a 4.83 or a 4.93 second pass ( I couldn't hear what it was exactly). That was cool to witness that.

you need to post more time slips. you need to look at each run, whats faster and where. then figure what you did on each run. start out getting 60ft and 330 fts. then work from there.

not bad times BTW. i thought you might be slower

Having all those mods won't do you any good if the setup isnt tuned. Are you scanning your car to see what its doing? A car with your mods and a good tune should have no problem running a 12 on street tires and a decent 60'.

your next Upgrade should be a Laptop and a nice Tuning Program.

Another question is, if you brought it to ZZP to "tune" why wouldn't you have them replace the "bad" o2 sensor with a new one...and have them tune it from there...it doesn't make any sense to tune a car with a failing o2 sensor...:(

You really need to take a step back and think here. Throwing money at a car dosent make it the fasest car out there. You are obviously doing something wrong, id suggest to stop racing the car asap.

And that whole zzp story dosent make sence. Those guys are sharp with these motors. They would have defenatly noticed a failing o2 sensor right away. AS a matter of fact if you did take it there for a tune. I know zooom wouldnt have let it leave unless it was tuned perfect.

The O2 was just slow responding...Zoom said he can tune as close as he can but with out a new O2 he cant do it perfect...I just replaced it.....And i thank you guys for helping me and my car.. I just really dont need to rebuild it again because of me being a dumb ass..

Just your part throttle tuning of LTFT's will be off if you have a sluggish o2. It will affect your overall performance at WOT if the LTFT's are positive when your foot goes to the floor, it will add x amount of fuel pending how + it is.

It ignored all o2 input at WOT anyway and runs off PE.

HP Tuner's is NOT for amateur's by the way.

Berettaspeed
08-02-2006, 09:44 PM
yeah your O2 should not affect WOT. now if you have a wideband that would help alot in seeing what A/F you are running, since there is nothing else to watch.

i do know the GTPs stock tranny doesn't like much more power than stock. maybe your having problems there. i dunno. any upgrades to the trans?

YEah the trans can play a role in the times you weant to run. Most stock trannys only last for a little bit running low 13's.

Why didnt zooom try a new on in the car while you were there. Or why didnt you jsut buy a new one. I mena hell you took the car all the way to grand rapids why cheep out now.
