hey micro, i don't know about pushing those STOCK sleeves and rods to the limit again. if you want we can push 25-26psi again, but run more conservative on timing and fuel....hehe not that we already are.... i can do a few more adjustment only on your call...:thumbsup give me:thumbsup and i'll do it!!!:headbang

10sec no promises on a NEAR STOCK setup!!! get that b16 beefed up a bit more and we can easily do 10sec passes!!!

Yes, Mr. tittyflicker:D . The car was no slouch when I had the rotary either - 115 mph traps @ 12 psi, 93 oct, home ported stock twins - just not reliable enough for me. 2 engines, 3 trannies, 2 clutches all in 2 years time - 14k miles. The car has been trouble free for 2 years now, since swapping in the detroit aluminum. When you build a fast car, let us know, until then take the:flipoff2: and......

:shades hey it's MY OPINION in which i am entitled to. I don't believe that hole BS about not reliable i know of a few friends that have had Rx-7's that last for a good amount of time, the one is going on 6 years or something like that. But then again he spent good money when he rebuilt the motor, and he went to a major rx-7 shop. I PERSONALLY would NEVER put anymotor in a FD, and if i did have that thought cross my mind i would do a 2J. sorry, just my opinion.

turbogarrett
07-21-2006, 08:48 PM
Yeah a 2jz would be cool, but are hard to come by,big $$, don't fit all that well in the fd and actually weigh more than the lsx. I'll give you a ride in the car sometime, maybe you'll change your mind....

I will be running tomorrow in quick 8 class like normal. Still have the stock clutch and same ole clutch in it though... I am still waiting on the quartermaster because of stocking issues from their supplier of the ring gear needed for the setup. the trans is also just back from cryotreating and should be together by monday. Hopefully, I will have this setup installed very soon so I can get breakin miles for the next month or two before IDRC nationals at Route 66.

well, I know i didnt break my 14.5 that I had hope. TO DAMN HOT. Trap speeds were off because of the heat and just couldnt get my times down. Ah well, ill wait til an open night, than I can get my ten runs in an hour.

LOL, i dont have a honda. I have a WRX. To some my times are slow, but with the heat i didnt think so. I know that I can run a 14.5. I had this guy last nite after one of my runs telling asking me how i could only run a 15.1 yaddi yaddi yada. I bet track temp was atleast 110.

and to my setup, 100% stock. lol.

whitehatch
07-31-2006, 12:37 AM
my bad :goof 15.1 is kind of slow, but considering track temps its ok i guess, i ran a 14.1 with my wrx when it had just a friont mount and a catted 3 inch exhaust, but that was long ago, i just picked up my wideband from beeyond on friday so tunning is very soon. btw are you going to start modding soon i have a few parts sitting around, and id like to buy your stock airbox and dp i need to pass emisions and inspection :thumbsup

Where do you live that you need the stock airbox. When I had emissions testing before all they did was plug the OBDII in? I realize that if you have no tuning you should have a CEL....unless you have the mechanical O2 fix (has a good track record).

i went to the emisions station behind quad graphics in west allis, i passed emessions but failed the inspection because i didnt have a stock airbox, it wouldntt fit due to intercooler piping so i shot it out. Not thinking they would fail me just for that, so i need to find another one to somehow modify to fit.

I was actually datalogging track temps between 112-122degrees (day) ambient with high humidity.

4 of 6 passes of mine were good. 1 redlight (eliminations), and 1 mis-shift.

11.01 @ 130.

4 passes were between 11.0 and 11.1 in a row.

I've found that the word "stock" has more definitions than anything other word in drag racing.. 2nd place would be "street car" of course. :)
