Aren't the closest ones the 3000gt and soon to be TRI and the Blue 2JZ guys???

bored so just curious!!!

As for 10sec i think the only one that has proven times is the 3000gt right??

damn one day I'd like to say i hit 9's in my Econo STREET Civic.........:rolf :thumbsup

I would not really call the DSM a street car (full cage, dogbox trans, 4 inch exhaust and full slicks) but I guess it could drive on the street... oh I don't know where he is at all either.

Dont you guys worry about me.

The car is in good standing and I have no problem cruising along side any one of you guys. :thumbsup

As far as the shop... Well I started this shop seeing a different end result. I am not closing the business just redirecting so that I have more time to race, and be more one on one with the community and customers.

Snicker and joke if you want to. Those of you who do are the reason owning a business and trying to be a car guy is so hard to do.

If anyone needs anything or is interested in knowing when and what is going on, please give me a call 262.617.1365

hehe...cool equation... kind of reminds me of my calculus courses..lmao

actually we are in the stages of expanding/branching off to general repair along with what we are currently offering. maybe the new shop we be like lets say a FIRESTONE/GOOD YEAR kind of deal, but with "PERFORMANCE/RACING/TUNING" in mind instead of all boring general repair. oh yeah including a full chassis dyno at awesome rates!!! oh yeah and i forgot maybe custom mufflers too...at ridiculous low low rates and lifetime warranty.... ok now i am fantasizing a bit... but yes BEEYOND is expanding!!!:headbang

Well it has "street" tires... and fully functioning lights, horn, trunsignals... and still has all the stock frame/body panels... And it is registered.... sounds like a street car to me.

That would be worth seeing!!! I dont consider those guys competition because of how different the cars are. Not only that, but after taking almost 20 months to put the car together because of cost, accuiring knowledge, waiting on parts.... I just want to beat my fastest times. Not anybody elses.

I am expecting to have some good results in the near future. I have made a few changes and added a few fun new toys to the picture, that should bring the high boost hp to around 900ish. Also I have been playing with suspension setting and tire pressures, and have got that thing grabbing the road like no one's business. But that could all change and act differently at the track. So, we will see.

No matter what, both of those yoda's ( geronimo, el nino ) (sorry if I spelled it wrong ) have pulled high 8s on good runs. I am just not there yet.

EVIL: I am changing a few things right now to try and help my 1/8th mile game. I am planning on being there.

Mark, I have two seats and harnesses in it... I havent been keeping up with the rules, but do I need the rears this year too??? Because the cage gets in the way. Is there a rumor going around that the car doesnt have seats in it or something?

Either way I will talk with you a little more on which class, and what not, to run.

All is ok.

Business isnt all its cracked up to be. I do better with a welder and some wrenchs then I do with paperwork and crap like that.

I have a few things up my sleeve, but for right now. I am going to try and get up to date with everything I have been missing for the last several years. Racing, GF, helping friends out an making a buck on the side is ok... Trying to make a living on it isnt as much fun.

I am happy about it. The people I have been trying to help out seem happier about it (more one on one time)

If you need anything just ask (PM)

Jake

Hey, who is it, Marko (?) with that 9 sec supra? and isnt that street driven?
eh all I got to say is I have to give you props on how fast you guys are running with cars that started out as 16 sec cars.....

Flicktitty
08-09-2006, 11:37 AM
Marko used to do alot of work with the shop Sound Performance.he has a white MKIV supra. the fastest time to date was a 8.45 FULL WEIGHT! as for a supra those cars start life out from about 13.4-14.0

Waver
08-09-2006, 11:44 AM
Yeah, I knew that Markos car was fast, hell I had friends who went to gld last week and saw him run, well toy, with some of the cars there. When I was talking about the 16 sec cars, I was talking about the civics, the dsm's (I know they are faster than 16 secs stock) ect...

Marco is cool ****! I like it when anyone goes entirely against what everyone else says (you will never spool it, you cant street drive it) that kinda stuff.... And does it!
On top of it he has the cash flow to keep up with it.
As far as I know there are no other street driving imports in the 9s in WI. Marco is a Chicago boy.

yours has been street driven! hey Jake you do custom exhaust manifolds by chance?

TopStreetDsm
08-09-2006, 07:31 PM
I bomb around when I feel like spending $17.oo/gal of gas. I am waiting on time at this point to make a few cooling related changes, so I can drive it more. By the end of this month I am hoping to have a lot of street wheel time in.

Basically.... I wouldnt build it if I couldnt drive it. I have spent alot of extra cash, time, research and everything else to make it what it is and street drive it. I even made a quick release for the parachute!

As far as the manifold thing...PM Sent!
