I own a 1970 Buick Skylark convertible now with a 455 (464) TH400, 12 bolt rear and Megasquirt II EFI. It needs paint, body and interior work but is pretty solid.

I also own a 1977 Ford F250 that is a rusted basket case. aka I was buzzed and it was on E-bay relatively cheap. oh yea. I'm looking for a place to store it.

My name is Doug (if you couldn't tell) and I'm originally from Racine. I just moved to the east side over on N Prospect to help cut my work commute to Waukesha. I am loving the city so far. The first day moving in I saw a black Ford GT turning onto Farwell and right then I knew this was the place for me. I've been passionate about cars my entire life. I used to be big into DSMs but I've since moved on. I drive a '99 C5 coupe 6-speed. I bought it completely stock about four months ago. Since then I've done a few small things like a Vararam intake, XS-Power LTs & 3" X-pipe -> resonators -> turn-downs, and lowered it. This car is by far my most favorite out of all I have owned. I look forward to meeting fellow car enthusiasts in the area and having a good time.

Hey I'm the mentioned husband! Didn't know your cobalt was actually an L61!? I was led to believe it was an SS with an LSJ. Good to hear it runs on the liquid corn too!

the L61 and boost have have a love hate relationshp Lol. It needs a forged rotating assembly. Im still on stock rods and pistons, was running 15psi and the corn helped it live for a while then it let go. No idea the power level but i pulled a 115mph trap 14.7 ET and a 3.0 60' spinning the whole track. Thing hauled for being a little 2.2

115 mph holy shit! Takes a 430hp to the wheel v8 car to right on top of that trap speed haha. I had a saturn with an L61 I debated boosting but figured that it probably would become a major liability at that point haha ESP seeing it was an auto too

What did you do for tuning? There was very little support for L61 cobalts and not sure even HP tuners covers them yet? LSJ and LNF no problem though, even the LE5 2.4 they handle.

Trifecta tuning is the name of the place he has his own software he created and tunes with. The 07+ L61 then the 09-10 LAP have the E37 ECM and HPT just recently supported it. The 05-06 L61 has no support and will never according to HPT. It needs a better tune, the tune its on is mediocre at best but i need to take care of some demons first that are plaguing the car.

ha yeah i tried a Trifecta tune in my Cruze (E67) too because they were the only supporters initially too. Was less than impressed and the quirks aggravated the shit out of me too as i drive the car everyday! HPT since supported them, i built my own tune and its worlds better now. Wonder if EFI live supports L61 Cobalt's currently? might be best to just buy that software and begin to re-work it. HPT claims for such small numbers they didn't want to piss away the effort to crack the code, much like the Bosch ECM used in stuff like V6 Camaro's and the DI 2.4L's. But yet they figured out the Bosch ECM used in the LNF's and Duramax apps though haha. Happy birthday BTW!.

Well i am lucky enough to have a 07 L61 so I have the E37 that HPT supports. A buddy of mine has an 05 L61 so he is shit out of luck unless EFI Live supports it which i dont think it does. He is setup with the M62 off the SS/SC on a 3.1 pulley and a pig rich trifecta tune. There is someone coming up with a opensource tuning software but that could be a year or more out yet, hes doing it in his free time. Thanks for the birthday wishes. Another year older i guess lol.
