I have raced @ WIR several times over the years, and it needs ALOT of help to be anywhere near the level of Da Grove. Sad to say, but considering that there are gravel pits with little 1-lane asphalt drives, and a poorly designed staging area, burnout box, return road, etc. Not to mention the back half of the track is quite scary if you are going more than 140 through the traps.

If you want to go to a GREAT track to see the difference, go to Route 66 (Joliet), or Norwalk (Ohio). both are fantastic tracks that are well prepped and designed with an EXPERIENCED AND KNOWLEDGABLE tech staff that are actually looking for safety items.

I have been to RSD's at WIR and GLD, as well as regular events at each (including import wars for a few years now), and they need to step up the safety a few notches still.
