Funny story about that Caprice. He was behind me in the tech line. While the guy was teching my car, the guy in the Caprice kept reving the $hit out of his motor. The tech guy says to me "I wasn't gonna look very close at that car, but the more noise he makes with it, the more I am gonna pick it apart" I am actually surprised that car got to run that night. I figured the tech guy was gonna send him home.

I was able to borrow some slicks. Wow, what a difference! I first got there and had to wait for them to arrive, so I tried some 2nd gear starts. Completely bogged out, and rana 13.9 @ 115. Tried one more time, ended up smokin em of the line and ran a 13.7 @ 111. On go the slicks! Ran 12.2 @118. Out of 4 runs that was the best (2 others were the same). The one other pass, the tires flat out hooked, the car bogged, and then I missed third down the track, ran 12.6 @ 114. I definitely like improved 60' times. Down from 2.5 on street tires ( on my best run of 12.9 @115 the week before) to 1.9. A little more work and maybe a day that isnt 95 degrees and f-ing humid, I could see mid-low elevens ( I hope). Will be much happier with those times!
