"Security" light

My security light went on this morning and I don't have my manual with me :punch: , the OBDII reads nothing. What might cause this? I'm only asking because I'm bored as heck here at work and need something to do...thanks guys,

that means that the little chip in your ignition key is going bad or is bad.....

sometimes the chip in the key gets finnicky..


push the key in a little farther, and futs with it maybe :confused ...I few times ive had the car not wanna start because of the chip acting up

Hmm...the car started and ran fine, at least I made it to work. I'll have to look into getting a new key made, dealership only I guess...thanks for the input.
