I'll be picking up a 64" Magnetbox next week Friday. I was told it's a 2001 model and the only thing wrong with it is the color is off, like it's really dark. The owner tried fixing it themselves, but realized the problem was to big for them to handle. Is there anyone in the area that fixes these? I don't know anything else about it, no model number or anything. All I know is it's big, it's pretty new and it's free :)

Mr. TV does that sort of repair work....

Honestly though... a repair is probablly going to cost a ton. Color being "off" is a convergence issue that is an EASY fix as long as the board is good. Color being dark is a separate problem.

Does it look like the one in the pic I attached (Model: 9P6444C)?

Andy... he got it right with "Magnetbox" :goof

Haha! I see you guys aren't Simpsons fans. Well, Homer walked into a store to buy a new TV and they had all the name brands like Magnetbox, Sorny, ect. :goof

I havn't even seen the TV yet, but it was described to me and it sounds like the one pictured. I was told the picture is dark. I hope it's not to expensive to fix. I'll have to call Mr. TV when I have the TV.
