Dont get off where a G5 costs 5k though......they are less then $3500 loaded.....

ummm no. I have receipts for the computer I spec'd out when I started at my job for $5700:

general specs: 2GHz Dual G5, 1GHz Bus, dual Viewsonic 21" LCDS, 2.5GB Ram, 2 350GB Seatgate internal HDs, Powerlogix processor cooler kit, dual DVD burners etc....figure you throw in some software and you are EASILY over $5Gs....Final Cut Pro 5 is $1299 by itself.

2-That was a perfectly good computer, and could of been sold or donated to someone who could use it.
