Does anyone have a odbII tuner for ls1's? We are looking to get one probably either hptuners or efi live.

My question: does anyone around here have either of those? If so we wanted to demo it on one of the cars here on our dyno.

Thanks for the help!

want to come play with our HRSS454 on the dyno? it's a 04' LS1 from a goat.

I talked to HP Tuners today. They might be sending me one to test out. But I wanted to see what we could do in the meantime....

You guys should just hire Tom fulltime to be your inhouse tuner!

that works too! i dont charge much in comparison to other shops, and witha dyno it would be right on par! you guys could charge whatever u wanted above that.

If you want PM, me its 250$ for the 04 GTO liscense intially, i dont have it right now.

Unless you guys got the setup and i could tune the stuff for ya... PM me or something.

The owner of aloha knows my dad too...

I think this would be a good thing to do!! Probably be best if you guys got the software for your selves and i tuned them, got the dyno and wideband right there, and the industrial park to tune common driveabilty issues out that cant be done on the dyno.

I'm not a pro-bono consulting agency.

But her is some "Free" helpful advice. In the words of Steve, Avenger 333 Use the SEARCH button on other related websites like everyone else that ever cracked a LS1 PCM had to do.

Seacrest #2 out.

if anyone needs '04 GTO LS1 tuning or any LS1. I can help you out. We can tune with a wideband on a dyno so you don't have to worry about street tuning.

this sounds like a challenge. You guys should do a challenge. Same car: Tommy tunes it on the street and then rolls it on the dyno to see the WHP. Set the tune back to stock and have Aloha tune it...tune it on the dyno with a wideband or whatever else you want to use....roll it on the dyno and compare

I've got a stock 04 GTO we can use.......

I'd rather have the tune off at the strip, fastest MPH wins......

Ouch! The Tommy Tune has been the standard here on BCM, now the big dog Aloha shop is gonna try to squash the little guy. That's not too kewl.

Dyno's dont allow for tune of driveabilty... we should tune a heavily modified car... thats the real challenge! It aint easy to make them start on half a twist and idle instantly, not stall or do stupid crap with huge cams...

Besides, this was a favor to the local LS1 community more than anything, not meant to be a profit center.

anyone have a modded LS1 car that would be willing to let both tuners duke it out in this challenge?

Just a Suggestion,

BUT

TOM has lots of experience with this
and you should pay him to show you what he knows.

he is VERY reasonable, with his charges.

Hay guys, anyone on here able to tune 98-05' S10 Blazer's? My Hypertech power programmer hasn't come in and we'd really like to try one out on the dyno...

If I were to ever buy a GM powered car (or if HP Tuners made Ford software) I'd go to Tom first... Seems like you just wanted to advertise... And put down someone that has a good name in the LS1 community... I don't support businesses like that...

Just curious, does your boss know you use the "AlohaAutomotive" name on boards and are a d!ck to the members?? That's bad for business...

9hr Delivery for teh lose... :rolf

that was in reference to the seacrest out comment. i appologized to him in pm. im sure tom knows what he is doing. this doesnt need to be an arguement or a who's better. tom is good at what he does. aloha is good at what they do. we will leave it at that and hopefully in peace. :)

as far as the tuning contest...that would be fun. not now though as it is all out show season and car builds are booked into winter.

i will update everyone to the tune results of the HRSS. last time around it did NA 635whp on 103 octane..... we arent particularly looking for more HP. just more streetablity.

later!!!!
