It's "Joel" dude :D

Didn't realize he was going to be posting all his dyno numbers either but that's pretty cool. I'm positive there's plenty more there when he turns up the boost merely knowing what other people have put down with similar combos.

550hp and 650rwtq

wow thats wicked to the ground #'s.

it's like 400 more HP to the ground than my TA, and like 170 more than my GTO (if it were running)

Reverend Cooper

why what happened to your gto that its not running

to be short, motor failed. not getting warrantied. (ate lots of oil)
like my sig says, the plan overall is to put a bigger better engine in it, then once it's running, clean up the TA, likely use the stock GTO motor as a basis to build up the TA. thats likely a pipe dream. if anything though get the GTO back on it's feet, and put considerably less miles on it, while just driving the TA. i realize I'll now need a "legitimate" beater for the winter, since I won't subject the TA or GTO to anymore winters. IMO the TA is at a fragile point, either let the rust get worse till it's a basketcase in 5 years, or stop it now, spend a little money, repair the rust, and get some rattle cans and prep it and get it into primer.

i know alot of people here may have a negative opinion about me, and think I'm stupid and or nuts. I honestly agree. But I have a love for cars like no other, a bit obsessive at times.

my GTOs engine failure is basically a result of me not knowing the LS2 ate oil, and getting too busy in life to check the oil level daily. So all I can do is start over, and be obsessive in checking the level in that car. I think all I'm going to do is build a "mild" 402, since I'd have to start over on my LS2, i.e. get it remachined. Then go with a goal of equal performance to the GTO on the TA, likely w/ a gen I SBC since it's cheap, instead of the left overs of my LS2 like I'd love to.

who knows, it's too early and all I really need is time.

Joel,

If you dont mind me asking, how much do they charge for dyno pulls at that place?? and arent they in richfield?? Im kinda intrested in dynoing my red pile for scientific purposes.

Give marv a call. He's primarily a ford shop, but I'm sure the dyno would downgrade to a tenths scale for measuring bowtie power ;) :durr :goof
