That pillowy formation under the high altitude clouds is called 'mammatus.'

Simply put, it means lots of turbulence and energy in the upper atmosphere.

No, probably not. I like Texas though, that's more of a dry heat like arizona. I hate humidity.

I'm the opposite about humidity. Today was nice. I actually felt like takin my coat off around noon when the temp got high enough.

I like the drives before and after the rain. I'm going for a little cruise in a minute to get something to eat.

It didn't rain very hard downtown, just a lot of lightning. With the storms to the east and south, the MKE landing approach is right above my appartment.

Awsome pictures! I got some from a storm rolling in last year. Its when that tornado touched down out in Stoughton (I think that is the right place) and all that debris was falling from the sky around here. The last picture is my favorite, with the sun and clouds and blue sky.
