the car that broke was an older chevy(he was running clocks off) i think it was a maroonish color. it was running slicks and he launched like crazy and went into the other lane(good thing the POS integra that was nexst to him was slow as ****) but then he continued to coast ALL the way down the track. it happend at like 7:15-7:30

what were you racing? i was in the TA with the TT2's my cousin was running a blue STI with a kit and carbon fiber hood,trunk.

I was racing my slow Black 05 STi. There was another 05 Black STi there, mine was the louder one. I was running really slow Thursday, trying out some changes in tire pressure and launching.

The best thing is....with the anti slip tape applied to the top surfaces you have a multi use piece there, just back it up to the house and you can climb up and clean out your second story gutters with no worries.......:thumbsup

For not having run the car in a straight line in 3+ years, I'm happy with my results- especially since I decided at 10pm:stare to run the car just for the heck of it. I went done there with no intention of running.
Now to figure out what my voltage problem is after that second run.

Yeah, it was a good time... Been like 3 years for me since I have been down there...

People should be more 'social' tho... lots of little 'groups' of people, but no larger group to get things going a bit more...

Since I am still not 'done' with everything I want and haven't had a chance to dial it in more on the street I decided to pass on running myself this time around...

i had a great time...wish i wouldnt have been having problems so i could have raced more.

first time down the track i dead hooked from a 3500 rpm launch surprising the hell out of me i usually spin like crazy even with the bald drag radials. so i flew off the line then bogged...i had problems launching it cause of im so used to spinning the tires for the rest of the night as well. so anyway first run my car lit up like a christmas tree....low oil light came on and temp hit 260. and then dropped back down on the return road. ran 13.2 @ 107 mph

so checked oil low 2 quarts not good...and almost out of coolant. so i had to leave and go to the gas station and get some oil and antifreeze. got back let it cool down then dumped almost a whole bottle of antifreeze in. ran it again this time coolant only went up to 230 on the run so im still probably low on coolant. well second run ran a 13.4 @ 108.7 bogged again bad off the line but was getting 1.9 60 fts which is better then i have ever done.

i got one more run after that against heatseeker. that was a really fun race we were pretty much door handle to door handle until the last couple hundred feet and i pulled ahead. 13.2@108 again.

the track was unbelieveably busy. tons of f-bodys and grand prixs there.

Yea, it was fun. I just got my Intercooler off, and to my suprise:rolleyes: I have a 3 inch crack again on a weld bead. Figures. Oh well, going to just JB Weld it, call the place I bought it from and see about a replacment.

For spontainiously running the car with no prep at all, rolling into the gas from IDLE at the green and the voltage issue I'm happy with my 2 runs. Dave- if there's a next time vs you, I'll run a tire too and soften the car up a bit. I'd like to take back that .25 sec and 3 mph and the some. :shades That was fun though- right next to each other right until the very end and you slipped by.
Got the alternator rebuilt today so no longer hanging out at 10 volts as the heat from the day killed the voltage regulator.:stare

i definitely need to figure out how to launch the thing...just when i was starting to figure it out a lil it was doing something completely different on me last night.

and hopefully for part II ill have a tommy tune done...plenty of fluids, and hopefully some more go fast goodies on the car.

and next time would be nice if i could get more then 3 runs in.
