Yeah give me a shout, check your PM's. I love 600RR's! I'm not joking when i say that overall they are the best bike for the money. i'd take one over any liter bike out there. :headbang

Yes I have rode several R1's. Only one 04 though, i still stand by what I say :)

If I would have had the money, I would have had a 600rr for sure.

Ahhh.....my favorite subject once again! First off, me being loyal to the litre bikes would take a 600rr over a R1 in a heartbeat. Its handling is superb, sure it may lack the power....but if you want POWER you wouldnt buy an R1 anyways....there baseline and tunability is CRAP compared to suzuki and Kawasaki, not to mention there heavy as far as the litre bikes go. The 600rr is a great bike, it handles almost as well as my race bike with tuned ohlins suspension in stock form. Ive considered buying one for a everday get up and go machine, there pretty cheap and extremely well built and this is coming from a person that has ALWAYS been loyal to suzuki.....sure i have my reasons for that such as they are by far the best engineered litre bikes (exception being MV Agusta and SOMTIMES aprillia) they also CONTINUE to dominate the 1000cc AMA circuit in all classes. The R1 is not even in my top 5 litre bikes I would buy....it rides like a shitbox and has NO low end power compared to the GSXR 1000 or ZX10R.... The Honda 1000rr is comparable to the power of the yamaha....they both have the weak bottom end but the honda has about 10x better handling. Yamaha should just give it up and stick to building dirtbikes and quads. I love my YFZ 450 quad......its a beast....but id never buy a yamaha sport bike. Sure they look awesome but thats about where it stops.......

Well said. I haven't rode the new GSXR-1000's yet so I can't say I'd take one over ANY liter bike quite yet :D

Mine isn't too bad and they put me in the same class as the rest of the liter bikes for some reason :confused

I pay $325 a year for liability, full coverage would be close to $900 a year which isn't nearly as bad as what I've heard a lot of people paying. I would never pay a $2000 a year for insurance.

I pay 1200 a year for full coverage on my 06. I don't know what i'm really missing out on though since i've only ridden a 02ish R1 carb'd, and if i had to pick between mine and that i'd still be ridin mine. Have you been enjoying yours Tyler? Well, minus all the rainy days :(

Yeah I love it. Sure it doesn't have the power of any of the 4 banger 1000's, or even the newer 600's, but I love the torque and the awesome sound of the V-Twin. Its also something different.

My lower fairing will be in next week, the paint is ready to go so she'll look even better soon (I hope).

Most of it was piddly **** like actual defective speedometers...6 mph over (rolleyes) and other crap. I haven't had a ticket in nearly 2 years (knock on wood) . I'm always up for riding when it gets a bit warmer. Should be nice next week :headbang

Can't wait to get that new fairing on, should be ready next week.
