This is a joke. I have called several places, run all over town during lunch to talk to some people and haven't nailed down ANYTHING yet. Have any of you guys had good experiences with buying mulch from a place? Ultimately I want cedar chips mulch...NOT the shredded garbage. I have talked with about 5 places now that SAY they have it. I drive over to go arrange the delivery and its shredded...not anything like what they said it was. Post up your contacts/experience with who ever! I'd even settle for hardwood CHIPS as long as it isn't shredded.

Thanks

J

There's a place on National west of Racine that has a bunch of stuff. I drove by there yesterday and they had a bunch of piles of all different color mulch. I didn't stop and I don't have a name of the place, but its tough to miss.

Natures nook in New Berlin normally has lots of different types of things. Otherwise if you really can’t find any thing normally places like Wal-Mart, shopko ect have the stuff in bags but that’s more expensive. I know shopko carries chips though due to I worked in there lawn and garden department last year

You could also try contacting your city dump due to lots of time they have free mulch but some of the types you have to pay for.

yea seriously I saw the story run on the news about a month ago that the mulch that is spreading across the country, a good chunck could be from the south....filled with mold and who knows what!

Thanks Scales. I called Pro Bark yesterday...they might be able to help me...trying to find someone closer first

Watch out for Katrina mulch :goof

would that really be a problem? :confused the mulch gets wet anyway, and you usually replace (or dump more on top) the following year.
