VW Passat 4-Motion, Subaru Legacy, Outback or WRX, Audi Wagon (can't remember the model designation)... It's more likely a Subie though... I don't remember if the VWs or Audis came in a 4-Motion 5-Speed Wagon... Come to think of it The Audi may of... Hrmmm... Now I'm starting to wonder...

I should have it soon!

They are kinda turdish out-of-the-box @ 150, but I am going to get to work on that right away. I was looking around for some pistons with a little less compression (stock 9.3:1) and some stronger rods. Over on VWvortex, they have people pushing 300 hp on stock blocks, but the octane and comp ratio line is near there. I'll get the pistons first and then go for more boost.

Being a wagon, I can fit more stuff in it such as 2x4s and RC airplanes!

This one has all of the A4 options available except the power seats, but they are heated.

On last thing, the aftermarket parts for the A4 are rather expensive, but alot of people have gone and had custom parts made for alot less (headers, fmic kits, downpipes...).

I'm guessing it the saabaru, the saab 92x, wrx wagon. AWD turbo wagon sounds like fun, and its a sleeper.

Nice car, Ive been driving a 05 outback xt limited with the 2.5 turbo. Only downfall is that mines an auto. Still a sleeper and suprises alot of people.

GOT IT!!!

After 581 miles of driving, $100 in gas, half the miles with a sploder at its max towing cap, I made it home in one piece.

I took the car out for a drive and I am thinking that it is not stock. The little 'Nuspeed' license plate frame that was in the trunk gave hints. By the seat of my pants, it is a faster car than my integra.

The asphalt was a bit wet up in Cedarburg, so I decided to go around a corner at full throttle in first gear...my first AWD drift!

It drives like an Audi should. I test drove an A8...just like it! I'm spoiled, no more jap cars for me.

Bad news...

I was scooting down I43 with my A4 in 3rd and at 4k rpm. The car kept pulling harder untill the clutch slipped.

Time to upgrade. This engine tends to drop revs like helicopter. Mabey a flywheel while I am at it.

I know someone selling the Audi A8 w/43k for only $39k. (damn these cars aint cheap)

(damn these cars aint cheap)

I could have spent more on an Accord. Seriously!

Well, I am going to fix the clutch myself. I talked with a few mechanics and they said that the task was not difficult, just (very) time consuming. The biggest issue is how many parts need to be removed to get to the clutch. The good news is that it is a hydraulic clutch (easy).

Judging by my past experiences with repairing my cars on my own, it will take me about 5x the normal amount of time to fix it. This means I have about 40 hrs of work to do according to Alpine Imports and 75 hours according to International Autos.

I keep telling myself, "this is going to be fun."

I was going to guess 1.8t avant.

We will have to get together. Your avant with my supercharged 2.8 A4 Quattro

I'm closer to stock right now. You'll have to wait for some time. Probably 2 months.

Al

For some odd reason, the clutch was gripping better today.

I pegged it in third, the turbo spooled up and it went like hell!

I will replace the clutch anyway because the flywheel sucks. I'm also assuming that there might be some kind of contaminant on the clutch.

THIS CAR ROCKS!!!!!! I should have bought one sooner.

Driving around town, it is smooth on bumpy roads, but when you stomp on it and get in to the twisties, it really holds the road.

Can't wait for more power!

I like math n' related sciences.

You cannot truely understand what is going on in your car if you do not know this stuff.

This pertains to my Poindexter side!

I wanted 'DY DX,' but it was taken (means 'derivative')

The integral of e to the x is equal to f of u sub n.

Al
04-27-2006, 11:56 PM
...f of u...

Do not hate me because I am such a cool dude.

But...

other plates I wanted were "333 88," "33355 88," and "33355 IT," but they figured it out REALLY fast. Mabey they already understand this type of coding.

Didn't meant that.

I don't have mathematica installed yet, so paint will have to do.

Al

see what happens when you try to type those numbers in on your phone.

A=2
B=22
C=222
D=3
E=33
ect . . .

TransAm12sec

What?

Al
04-28-2006, 03:55 PM
"333 88,"
333 = F
88 = U

"33355 88,"
33355 = Fk
88 = U

"33355 It," = Fk It

Have you ever kissed a woman?

Al

You're thinking too lowly of me lately.

The answer is the same to the answer of this question:

Dave, were you at a gas station on sunday afternoon last week, walking towards the station from your blue nissan pointed south where you parked it, just to the west of I94 in Kenosha or Racine county?

Nice car. You'll love it, that is untill you get a repair bill. Just be prepared to spend some major $$ on repairs and mods. Even custom is expensive!

South of west...that counts...close enough!

Oh Crap! You figured me out! So, what are these "woman" you are talking about and "kissing." Is it a type of vegetable?

Labor is expensive, the parts are not. I'm doing the clutch myself. I can't think of anything more difficult to repair at the moment.

BTW- where did you dissapear to for the past 2 years?
