Sweet. Did you drive by yourself? I used to drive to NJ solo every year just to have some alone time and enjoy the road.

My paint got FVCKED in utah!!! They use this sand/pebbles instead of salt. My hood is fvcked and the lower parts of my doors are fvcked!!! I'm so pissed and sad it looks like crap.

My grandpa and I made the drive in 1 and a half days. Non stop 4 hour switchoffs. Was getting 24-27 mpg depending on the area. Oh and it was cold as hell going thru the colorado mountains.

Dave hitme up the next time you come out here!!! I'm in so cal.

I hear ya Andy. Theress hella construction going on Ft Irwin road, they're widening it from 2 to 4 lanes. I swear no matter how far back you are rocks still get tossed up. I already have a chip/crack in my windshield :(

They do that here, as well as many places... MN/IL... probably everywhere.
Does suck though :stare

Ya I'm pretty sure thats the one. It was a fun drive and some nice site seeing along the way.

Although this desert thing is growing on me. There's no rules for driving in the desert! You can take a truck, car, bike, atv, anything out there. All the cops said was the recomend going out with a buddy cuz some guy went out last year crashed and died. They found him 4 days later.

Must fight the urge of buying an ATV or Jeep!

Sucks about the paint but it looks like quite a fun road trip :D.

About the salt thing, I'd rather have paint chips than a rusty car ;). I wish we used sand instead of salt. Salt is evil, plain and simple.
