Looking for Some Blow through carbs for carbed turbo systems. The carb will be going to a twin turbo 350 small block in a blazer, dunno if its the s-10 series or the K series. Let me know if you guys happen to have any or if you hear of some. The other option that we're looking into is a cheaper stand alone fuel injection system. We would require the unit, intake, fuel rails, injectors, harness, and possibly the software too. I f you guys have stand alone systems for sale used would be best as it would be cheaper, but if you have new in box or know of anyone selling any of the afore mentioned stuff it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Look on www.thirdgen.org you could build a TPI system running off the syclone ecm which would give you fuel injection that also references boost in the ecm instead of using and fmu. You could probably find a nice TPI setup and all the ecm stuff and a painless harness for about $500 total.

Would the syclone ecm freak out if it found 8 injectors instead of 6? Or would it not really matter?

Nope, if you modify the bin file you can change it from 6 to 8 cylinders(its more of an issue with ignition timing than injector firing because TPI is batch fire) On thirdgen.org there is a tech article and I belive a bin file for doing this, its getting to be common practice for anyone running TPI and boost weather its turbo or super charger.

If your interested in going this route and you want some help let me know I would be willing, and I might even beable to help you with a TPI intake.

I'll let the guys know. I'll be seeing the manager of this project tonight so I'll see if he wants to stick carb or go with TPI

I have 2 different TPI systems, complete. You would need larger than stock injectors I would imagine.

Injectors are no big issue and can be gotten easily enough. By complete does that mean ecm too?

If your going to go the TPI route your going to want to try and get the 90-92 MAP version. You will need this style of ECM and harness to convert over to the syclone ECM.

The 90-92 TPI used a 1227730 ECM, you will need the chip out of that.

The 91-93 Syclone/Typhoon, 87-90 Turbo Sunbird and the 88 Turbo Quad 4 all use the 1227749 ECM, You need this ECM

http://www.thirdgen.org/1990conversion <--- Thats a Tech article on how to repin your 90-92 1227730 Harness to work with the 1227749 ECM.

My suggestion would be to buy a TPI setup without the harness because its alot cheeper. Then buy a painless TPI harness (its designed for the 90-92 TPI) Should beable to get a TPI for $100-200 and a painless harness for about $250(get the longer wires being that its a custom install) Then depending on how much boost your planning on running in this thing you need to get injectors, you could probably start with some SVO 30# which are fairly easy to find at a decent price.

The last part which will take the most time is ECM tuning. I am just starting to learn how to do this on my car and its one of those things that just seems to take time, and the longer you work at it the better it will keep getting. Depending on what route you go you can get all the Tuning hardware and software from www.Moates.net for $250-$500 I suggest getting the APU1 - AutoProm and running TunerPro RT(free with a suggested $30 donation)

Thats all I can think of right now, but I would say you could do this for $1000-$1500 plus the cost of the turbos and other stuff your doing.

Yes I have the ECM. I system is an 85, the other an 87. I'll throw in a 305 short block with spun bearing :thumbsup

No use for the 305 unfortunately, I'll check back with the guy again see if he wants to run the TPI
