This guy has been at oscar's before. He's brought out his new Z06 late last fall. If you REALLY think about it, you could use this case against G.M. for the weak 10bolts they installed in the F-bodies.

I can see both sides, but it's part of racing and part of putting a vehicle through it's paces, you are gonna severly reduce it's longevity.

Hrmmm, that's cool that they actually took it back... Now the question is will my Dad make it to the newspapers for going after Porsche on the lemon law on his Cayanne... :rolf He didn't, from what I know, on his Corvette... :rolf

I remember fast times mike telling me about that guy. Wow thats pretty funny, the guy blew the rear end up like 6 times i guess.

He had an 02' yellow Z06 that went 11.70's or something with just a filter and a shifter or something. The guy can really drive!

With a statement like this and they still gave it to him!! That is awesome!!

"When the Viper was running like it was designed to, Mortle reached 122 mph in a quarter mile on a drag strip, he said." :rolf

That is awesome!! I filed a suit against GM for my Formula in Florida and I was shocked how fast they wanted to settle. Too bad I was naive and settled,:chair: I had them by the balls for my car too. The judge was even shocked with all of their bs. :(

Wow $175K in atty fees for an $80K car.

I think that alot of it was interest accumulated over the years.

Yeah I personally think its bullshit. I would love to know more details as to exactly how these guys were killing them and how they were fixed. I suspect that some of those might have been poor dealer or shop rebuilds or something that then failed again. I have no idea what these guys were doing to theirs lol. Mine run's mid 10s at 135 in the 1/4, dynoed 740 HP to the wheels and I have drag radials. I beat mine like there is no tomorrow, and I've never had a rear end problem. I've never seen on the VCA and Viperalley fprums anyone have any trouble with the rearend including guys running 7, 8, and 9 second cars. Its a frikken semi indestructable Dana 44 and noone seems to blow them up. Myself and a lot of people run a stock clutch, stock trans, stock rearend. Only weak link I know of with the drivetrain that anyone upgrades is the halfshafts, I have Unitrex ones.

On a funny side note, guys on the board were getting calls and "someone" ratted me out lol. I then had private detectives doing "research" for the lawyers calling me, I think a lot of them thought it was ME. They apparently had heard stories of a "MoparJim" with a Viper that had been supercharged and that he beat constantly lol and thought that I was the guy with the lawsuit.

I caught their PI sniffing around on BCM.com. I wonder how much he charged DC for being owned here. http://www.brewcitymuscle.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6707&highlight=viper

spend $80k on a car, beat the piss out of it, and they buy it back for $385k..... sounds like fair deal to me ;)
