Cheap a$$. Buy AAA seeing as how your sh it is always broke, you'll make your money back off of it.

Really not that hard to ask around first before I use up one of my tows, which i said I would of course that was BEFORE you shot your big mouth off :punch: :chair:.

how was that a foolish comment?? and if you can't afford 115 bucks WTF are you getting your car modded for??? if you want it done right you gotta pay the money. and i was trying to help you out. maybe you just didnt think of that.

i'm not getting it modded bro. actually just trying to get it running. and why it was foolish is because i know i can get it towed, but rather save a few bucks as the car is going to be sold next week.

What kind of car? And how wide is it?? I might be able to score a trailer depending on how wide the car is... If it's thinner than a 3rd Gen F-Body we'd be safe... :rolf... Oh and what time were you thinking??

mrz28M6
03-26-2006, 11:46 PM
alright joe that would be great. its an eclipse so i'm sure its smaller than a 3rd gen. anyway you can do it during the day on weds?

Wed I work 12-9... So ummm... I'm not sure if I'd be able to do that before work or not... I'll also have to see if I can score the trailer... I know I can grab a truck from work with no sweat though... Oh and are we gunna have to push it onto the trailer???? Becasue if I remember right from my '81 Mustang this trailer (depending on how it's angled) is a ***** to push cars onto... :rolf Oh and what'd ya break this time?? :rolf

mrz28M6
03-26-2006, 11:54 PM

Slow Joe
03-26-2006, 11:55 PM

AAA Gold is like $65 a year. Consider it an investment.

That's standard rate to flatbed anywhere in the greater Milwaukee area.
My brother had his flatbedded like 3 miles and it was $115.

I had one flatbedded from my house to well over 30min. away and it was $115.

If you have insurance on the car, some companies will reimburse your towing fees, I know American Family does.

Yeah, you remember gettin the '81 Stang on there... :rolf That was fun.. :stare The Berlinetta wasn't hard though since it ran... We did though push the Prelude on to it... What other cars did we haul with that trailer?? :rolf

I'll know later on if I can get the trailer or not...

Slow Joe
03-28-2006, 03:52 PM
I believe it's AWD so it'd need all 4 wheels off the ground...

Grim_Reeper7.0
03-28-2006, 04:13 PM
I dont know **** about those cars....cant you just remove the front drive shaft like a truck? I have no clue...... Or is it some hokey bullshit where the transmission and transfercase is like one bike cluster ****?

twicks69
03-28-2006, 05:07 PM
you would have to remove the transfer case and the driveshaft to pull it with the front wheels fixed on a dolly.

Still....I would flat bed it.

Just buy the AAA Gold membership. It is definitely worth it, and for $60/year you get 5 tows for up to 100 miles each! Damn good value, and it is worth it even after one tow.
