Where are some good Inland Lakes that are in S.E. Wisconsin that have great Walleye, N. Pike and Perch fishing?

My father came down for a few months from U.P. Michigan and wants to do some good fishing, mainly Walleye fishing.

(He used to live down here about 12 years ago but you know how lakes change in fishing wsie)

Thanks,

Josh

Inland down here for Walleye??.. Pewaukee is about the only thing that comes to mind. Geneva produces fish but is usually soooo overrun with boat traffic that you take your life into your hands.

If you want to slam keeper size gills and slob LM bass, head out to Eagle Lake in Racine County in May or so. Be on the water by 6 though.

Yeah I was kinda figuring Pewaukee lake but isnt that the lake that died out that one year?

Wheres Nagawika located?

My dad lives on Little Bay De Noc and hes used to catching the big Walleye, but since he's gonna be down here for awhile he just wants to fish a lake with walleye/ decent sized fish.

I don't know of any "good" walleye fishing around this area sadly. Northwestern Minnesota is the godsend of Walleye/Northern pike

That or Lake of the Woods just nort' of the border in International Falls.

Spoils you so bad that it makes you never want to fish in Wisconsin again though...

English much? :confused You're saying they are or are not?

A good site to check in on frequently is www.lake-link.com It's a local site that has fish reports on every lake imagineable. You can usually find out what's biting and when. People are stingy bastards about the exact location though most times.. like you're going to catch every fish in the damn lake?!?

Yellowstone Lake west of Mt. Horeb for crappie! Best crappie fishing and a secret lake that isn't overfished!

SO, I'm going to bring this thread up back from the dead...

Where are some good places to go fishing offshore?...

I've tried Metro (just north of bender park) and had no luck there, just saw Coho cruising 20ft off the wall along the rocks in which they didn't even hit my lures.

Eagle Lake is the best Perch and Walleye lake in S.E Wisconsin IMO. i have caught 1000's of Decent sized Perch and Last Winter During Ice Fishing i caught a 27" 7 1/2 pound Walleye, that is sitting on my Wall. and there is plenty more of those Walleye's out there. pics of the walleye are Below.

Anyone know about the Milwaukee River and Cedar Creek in Ozaukee County?

I have been driving over the Milwaukee River (on bridges) in Mequon for 10 months now and I have rarely seen people fishing on them. When the river intersects Highland Rd and Hwy T, there are some really good looking waters.

I've heard of Miller Pond behind Oak Creek highschool but I think there some sort of age restriction on that pond.

Just went to Madison yesterday (lake Menona). 3 people in the boat and we knocked down appox. 150 blue gills, crappies and perch in 4 hours !! We fished from 8am -12noon and just smoked them. That lake is great for pan fish. The are still on the weedlines so just anchor right in front of the line (11-12 feet deep) and drop straight down and just bring the bait 8 inches off the bottom.

Al, the Milaukee River in Grafton/Cedarburg is good for one type of fish. CARP. I have fished there as a kid, and I have been under the surface of the water as a diver (don't ask). It sucks.

What about mequon? The water gets deeper in many areas over there.
