What a f@g that host is.....For some strange reason I just wanna slap the sh it out of him. What a cheesy pimp my ride, overhauled, etc knockoff show. Nice car(single turbo Supra) but anyone could build a bolt on car with an unlimited wallet. How ghey! And the owner....jeez try not to act so excited. :confused :chair: :punch:

That show has been around for like 2 or 3 years now. just so you know! And they usually do have a limit as to how much they can spend or they did in previous seasons.

I know its been around for awhile. I was specifically referring to today's show. If they had a budget, it would be a suprise for this build up. 94 Supra, they added a single turbo with a huge fmic, complete interior, complete stereo system, new braking system, new suspension, new fuel system and a full body kit with new paint and carbon fiber hood. I dont think they left a spot untouched. I thought the car looked good, its the host that is a friggin dork, just annoying everytime he opened his mouth...

you have to pay to play if you own a supra.

So they coulda saved $4k by not buying the body kit/seats... which aren't related to "tuning".
But then they'd lose 80% of their core rice audience.

The problem is that they are friggin Canucks. Just about every car show on SPEED has Canadian hosts. Its just annoying. Are there still 3 guys on the show, each one has a "specialty area"? Cant stand any of them. And the announcer guy too, the way they have him talk about the "mods", its like hes trying to talk up a $.02 part, like they installed $20K engine or something.
And as for the owner of the Supra, did you guys notice, could he even see over the steering wheel? :D

Here's how you make a Supra fast... :D
It's in a '71 240Z. The engine is mated to a TH400. Right now he's still tuning it, but has ran a best of 10.10 @ 138.88

There is a bunch of guys that have swapped the RB26DETT into thier Z. Check out www.hybridz.org sometime Dave. A handfull of guys have even swapped the SR20DET into the Z with exceptional results.

2JZ is a better motor then the RB26. It would be cool as a "family thing" but i'd take the 2J over the RB26 anyday of the week! :thumbsup

an interesting mix.... but i think the RB26 would also be better.. but both can put out good numbers and you can't see it when the hoods closed...

Props
