My friend has a 98 Geo Metro and it just happens that the catalytic converter went out on it. And Heiser in West Bend wants to charge 3 grand for it to get fixed. Does anyone know where my friend can get this part from a dealership or else where he can order it from a website??

well just for shitz and giggles, last year of Geo was 1997. your friend has a Chevrolet metro, but anyway, 150 for the part from various websites. take it over to Herman or a few other people on here that weld, prob can get the whole deal done for under 300.

Catco replacement cat can be found @ autozone or advance auto for maybe $65 or so.

Catalytic Convertor. don't ask for a Cadillac Convertor.

For $3,000 they'd better be replacing the car with a new one... :rolf

I know shipping is involved but unless you insure it for $9.4 Million it still should fall short of $3,000 by quite a bit, even if you include paying someone to install it........
