There was a hole in one of the rear brake lines on my 92 buick. Cut out this bad section and replaced it with new line. I got everything all connected up (using single flair's), go press the brake and 2/3's of the joints had drips.

Should i use double flairs? Any other ideas. I used teflon tape and everything was tight.

No tape, must be double flared for the extremely high pressure.

Ditto on this advise. No tape, and no Teflon sealing compound, either.

Single flare will work - everyone's right though definitely no tape. Be sure the flare isn't splitting as well when you flare the tube I have had them split from the stretching. Overtightening can make em leak too believe it or not - snug is good, if they leak you can back em off and "reseat" them but they shouldn't have to be cranked ape-tight.

no single flare.. double flare only....single can crack and split under hard and sudden braking.. its only 10 sec. longer to do

If your front brakes are nearly 1000psi the rear bias is
upwards of 650-750psi........thats during "normal" driving
in a heavy car.
