Need Unbiased Assesment (not likley)

Ok, i know a guy who happens to have a 1997 ws-6 t/a lt-1 A-4. He keeps claiming that his t/a ran STOCK with exhaust 12.9x @110. I lost a lung laughing! what is an accurate timeslip for a car like this....in street trim with a good driver Vs. a crappy one..emphasis on crappy? i would figure low 14.xx right? am i wrong? he claims it is the 310 hp one, arent they 305 unless equipped w/optional exhaust manifolds (dont know 4th gens intamately)? dude claims to walk LS-1 cars all the time. just better to be armed with correct information. sorry to waist you guy's time, but dude runs his mouth, and i just want to confirm that i am not crazy! :D

i know, he just needs to read this, as i have reason to belive he is a member of this very board. i am by no means trying to start $hit, dude wants to hassle me all the time, " race me in spring, run you for $$$$". dude is dumb. thinks he will have 480+hp with an lt4 kit and run basement 10's on a lt-4 conversion with nawwwws on his stock bottom end! hurts my head to think about. he thinks cause i dig mopars+fords that i dont like gm (i do), and that i am "biased" against gm. the point of this excorcise is to show him that that GM guys can see thru his ****. He plays GT4 too much, cause he wants "stage 3" mods and "port+polish", all he talks about.

Yeah crappy driver could easily put that car at a mid 14. Autos are really, really easy to drive, but you can still mess it up. Plus, he probably needs an opti, I would say mid 14's.

And 110 is crazy MPH for a 12.9, An LT1 was never known for it's top end.

Back in the day my 93 ran 14.2's WITH 3.73 gears and air intake as its mods.

With that kind of MPH it should run low 12's or hi 11's with a tire on it..... :thumbsup

my '93 6speed car ran 13.3 with a K&N, AFPR, shifter, real street tires, and a hypertech chip. was full weight 'cept for spare tire. that was at 104mph.

it all depends really. i doubt he did do that unless he had the spray hooked to it at that point as well. and basement 10's on that combination? well, it's POSSIBLE on the hose, but that car would have to seriously be gutted and a large shot.

white z knows what im talkin about, this kid is dumb! He is stock in the sense that he has an aftermarket muffler (flowmaster, I think). Thats it, full weight, no power adder, STOCK minus the muffler. Oh wait, i think the MPH it attributable to the bottle of octane boost he put in the tank! LOL!

i will take his money. all he ever says "lets take it to the grove"! I mean, honestly, who comes into my garage, sees my car under a cover STORED, and says how he wants to race me cause im a slow mustang, even modded slightly, and the only mustangs that are fast are the "supercharged" ones on HIWAY. He wanted me to pull my turdbucket out of storage to come race in November, and when i wouldnt, he says in spring i wont stand a chance, claims to get a GMPP LT-4 kit "full port+polish", get it "bored out", and a choppy cam and will be getting some nawwwws. But then again, he could not tell me what the compression of an LT-1 was (is it 10.25:1?) or what an opti was. when i asked him who works his "LT-4" heads, he couldnt tell me who, he didnt know, some guy he said. I hope he is reading this. White Z can comfirm that this guy is serious. I am not kidding!

F-body's than anything.
Mine ran low 13's with strictly bolt-ons on ecsta 711 street tires :thumbsup
