It took my brother & his friend almost exactly 24hrs to get from WI to FL without stopping (only for a piss break or 2)...
It's only been 12hrs and they're 1 state away... so unless they're going 120+ the entire time :confused

you can get to Florida in 19-20 hours....I drove it a few years ago. Cruise set to 85...stopped 3 times to piss, eat and refuel.

yea it took me about 18 hrs to get back up here from orlando. and georgia is only like 5 hrs away from FL depending on where in GA they are. i hope they dont get stuck in the old atlanta traffic cause let me tell you thats not fun! lol

Florida isnt that great, trust me Im from there. You get really sick of the old people nearly side swiping your car EVERY time you go out. Yes they have no winter but its kinda nice having a break from your car where you can actually just work on it and not worry about driving it.

Heck...we are in cape coral at the moment. Tomorrow we've got to be out bright and early on a party fishing boat. Tired as hell right now though, me need sleepy.

Andy will post pics latter...maybe tommorrow, maybe when we get back. The way from Atlanta to cape corral was a little on the slow side, hopefully we won't face the same traffic on the way back! Bike week at daytona and the first weeks of spring break were the culprit!

Actually it's not so bad...we were on the road a little before 10, by 1:30ish we were Indy, by 9:30 in Atlanta...KN and TN are pretty short states.

We averaged over 70 mph including stops until Atlanta where traffic became a pain....my jeep, even at the 78-80mph had a worst tank of 19.5 (refueled at 420+ miles), and a best of 22.7mpg...part of the secrect was so few stops, and high, but not highly illegal speeds.

Coming back will be hard..

GA and FL took forever. I-75 had a number of accidents. Stop and Go. We didn't realize it till we got almost into FL that this weekend is Bike week at Daytona. Harleys on trailors everywhere. Too bad where going 6 hours the other way.

heh...even with all the probs in GA, we were still at the state line in 16 hours, including a stop for breakfast. It had to have been the NOS!It was from the FL state line to Ft Myers that took forever (including a ~one hour lunch) it was ~6 or so, for a total of ~22 with all stops factored in.

I've done it in faster coming home in which I went from Clearwater/tampa/st pete to my driveway in a shade over 18 hours...no super illegal speeds, but good speed, over 450 miles a tank with bathroom breaks only during gas stops(ouch, my bladder!) and only eating while on the road while heading out from gas stops, and it helped that it was all by myself (working baseball tourneys last year for MSOE).

Seriously, I think this is the last time I try this with just two of us though :goof
