Hey guys, whats up? Just moved here from So Cal for work, I am a sales rep/R&D with Comp group. Comp Cams, Zex nitrous......you know what company im talking about. Anyways, they moved a bunch of us out here (with a persuasive bonus) to take care of the midwestern region and although im not to thrilled with the weather here its great to see that there are a nice amount of motorheads out here. Just got out here a week ago and im getting settled in but if there is anything I can do for you guys let me know.....i am able to get listed items at cost with the exception of custom grind cams.....still get a discount but not as good. I myself am a raging motorhead, all my vehicles have some pretty nice toys....mostly paid by cross promotional deals but mine and nice none the less. HOpefully i get to know some of you guys.....im lost and alone out here! Later!

Damn nice sounding car.

That screenname is similar to one of the mustang guys on the board.

Definitely cool to see another die hard LS1 guy. Not too many of us around here with the type of mods you are listing.

Well i guess ill start... any pics? whats the rest of the driveline consist of i.e. trans. rear end etc...

Grim_Reeper7.0
02-27-2006, 01:33 PM
The trans is a street tranny from Lenco racing in lemon grove california, about 5 mins from where i lived. Tranny is a 5 speed model ST1200. Rear End is a narrowed Currie 9" and a 4-link from Chris Alstons Chassisworks in Sacramento california. Front End is a BMR Tubular with matching control arms and QA1 Coilovers. Car is still not in operational condition.....needs interior and a cage still......im hoping to get it finished within the next year. As far as pictures, if you have a cam and am willing to take some, let me know.

I believe that would fall under the "commercial advertising" restriction on this board due to be offering up that discount. But if you would like to tell me what one you work at id be happy to tell you if its the same one!

No more SEMA? That's the best time to get out and experience the world of Sin City. Cars, women, gambling.....this is a ticket straight to hell :devil !!

SEMA is cool, but it gets boring fast especially if you go to it year after year.

How did you get a hold of a C5-R block? Is this something that GM sells??.......Or did you get it from the race team or something?

Grim_Reeper7.0
02-27-2006, 03:44 PM
Got it through a company called Combination Motorsports out of Las Vegas but yes you can get it from GM......pricy piece of metal though.....

Damn man........you sounded cool for a min.

We dont get Hurricanes, Earthquakes, or Extreme Drought here. We still have the high taxes, so that should make you feel at home. :rolf

You have to get through the Winters no doubt. But our summers here are very nice.

But we have a good drag track here thats getting better, the best road course in America, many oval tracks, and a top notch kart track. Cops will bust your balls here, but not nearly as bad as i hear out in Cali. And we have ALOT of great car shows and swap meets here.

And thats just the car stuff.

nismodave = WI pride! :headbang That's cool!

Just want to say, I moved here a little over 8 years ago from Washington state and I had the same thoughts. This place sucks... but as soon as the better weather got here I did a 180. There's a lot to do, see, etc here especially for us car nuts.

Grim_Reeper7.0
02-27-2006, 04:51 PM
Well its sounding more liveable, thanks for pointing out the good aspects! I am looking forward to running my bike at the road track actually! As far as the cops though, you would be suprised.....they have better things to do then bother someone for doing a brakestand or donuts in a empty parking lot....there pretty decent about auto tickets as long as your not endangering anyone such as drag racing on the street. I got a street racing ticket a few years ago....brought the end to my off track racing days! MINIMUM punishment for Drag racing or as cali calls it "speed contest" is a $1,100 ticket and 30 day manditory impound for that vehicle.....the fine may change by county but the 30 day impound is state wide.
