Well I got my federal tax return and I sold the 8.5 so I have a lil money to play with.

I was thinking of getting these replica chrome Z06 wheels w/ tires off ebay. take a look:

Or should I save 300 and get the same wheels and tires except polished:

Everyone has Z06 or Zr1 rims, get something different! Iforged or HP evos look tight on black TAs!

Do NOT get all 4 rims in the same size if you do go with a Z06 style...

They came staggered on the Vette for a reason... So get the proper 18x9.5 front and 18x10.5 rear if you do get them...

But, seriously, there are far far many more options out there and they all come down to personal preference... Sit down for a couple hours an evening for a week or two, look for something unique and make that bisch your own!!!

Honestly, do you want your car looking like every other copy-cat out there???

Get some custom wheels, something NO-ONE else has, and do it right...

Ya I want to but I'm a broke ass. I was looking at these because they are cheap and come with tires :D

What do you mean staggered? I they are replicas so you get 4 of the same 18x9.5's??

Why would you want corvette emblems on a TA?

I dont think it really matters? Plus I could always get different center caps.

I went through at least 30 pictures of fbodies before picking a wheel and numerous photoshop pics, and even then I still went through 4 sets of wheels before I found a set I really liked!

Josh showed me a great deal @ ls1tech.com on TT2's

17x9 / 17x11s w/ 275/315 for under 1300!! I think I'm gonna bite and go with those. Although I'm still considering Z06 wheels. I just love how they look weather they're overused or not.

Anywho what about these bad boys?

I would never buy a 8.5" wide rim tho. Any idea if anyone makes anything similar to these in 9.5's or 10.5s????

Man, get 10.5" or 11" wide in the rear. If you go any smaller, you're going to wish you got the wider ones to start with.

And there's a reason that a lot of people get Z06 wheels. Because they look awesome! Just because there are a lot of cars on LS1tech with the wheels dosent mean that there a lot of cars on SE WI with those wheels.

I would stay away from those wheels on ebay that come with the tires. Well not the wheels, just the tires. You're going to find out real quick how much a good set of tires matters on an Fbody, and I bet in a few months you would be looking for new tires.

I've got ZR1's that came with a vette centercaps. I just spray painted them black to match the wheels and it still matches great and has held up. Easy fix.

Well, you weren't the chowder head that bought those wheels brand new, so you get a reprieve... THIS TIME!!! :headbang

But yeah, the larger/wider wheel on the back just sets the stance of the car, especially on the Trans-Ams as we have teh wider fenders and the rear skirt that goes straight down instead of curving under the car the way Camaros and Firebirds do... But wider rear wheels look good on all f-bodies, no doubt about it...

Oh, and no code would get thrown for the ABS system as long as the diameter of the wheel is within range... So 17x9.5 wheels all around with teh same profile tire, or even a profile bigger in teh rear is still OK.. it is only when you really mismatch do you start running into issues because of diameter differences (like a certain smaller 245 up front and a 315 out back, which as the tires wear the fronts have a higher spindle speed due to the smaller diameter and the ABS wigs out and throws a code)...

Alright I know it's not an F-Body... But these are the type of wheels I think look good on pretty much anything... 5-Spoke, Painted... I'm not much of a chrome guy... They're Mille Migla 18s... Damn do I miss these rims... Oh and lmao, my car looks funny w/o the spoiler... The Steeda one was getting painted then and I took the factory one off to make sure it one fit right... But yeah my vote is something of that nature...

Just thought I'd show another option or two. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/701150/1, and I had also seen some AR Rebels' in 17" front and 18" rear on a red WS6 at LS1tech, but I couldnt find the guys post. When I saw it, it was atleast a couple of months ago. But it really looked good.
