I just bought a 94 Cavalier (it was cheap) that needed some work. One of the things wrong with it is the fan switch on the dash dosent work so I went and got a diffrent one still dosent work, I also tried a relay under the hood and still nothing. I know that the blower works cause the guy ran a wire from the blower inside the car and one from the battery also in the car and taped them together when he wanted heat( it worked I guess) The thing I need to know is has anyone else had a similar problem with a blower switch not working. I also thought it could be the resistor or is there another relay under the dash somewhere? Any sugestions will be appreciated.

I would also check the resistor. They always go bad, usually you still get high speed though. Girlfriends went out twice.
