The F117 started off in the early 70's under the project name "Hav Blue" as part of the Skunkworks project run by Kelly Johnson- The same group that created the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird and the U2.

My uncle is a Military Aircraft author (Wayne Mutza) and has access to some pretty cool pics & info. I love reading about anything like this.
Thanks for the post Chris

I used to play F19 and F117A until the sun came up back when it was on 5 1/4" floppies.

The guards are ordered to shoot anyone who crosses the second line.

I remember hearing one guy say "whould you shoot my wife if I pushed her past the line?"

The guard said "Yes. Then I would shoot you too."

What a great answer. :rolf

Yea, the Air Force is like that. They've got lines around the entire flight line, and only certain areas where you can enter. I went on a rescue det (where we go to fix one of out Hornets that has broken down someplace cross country) to Little Rock AFB. One of the the guards didn't like that we weren't playing by their rules, and tried to be a hard ass with us. We laughed, he called his "boss" and we laughed at him too. Our CO got a call from their CO, who laughed at him too. The whole thing didn't go over too well. Those AF guys like their little lines.
