Full interior car, that $249 in cab extinguisher system
would have been money well spent :(

If only to save some of your parts for next ride, I wouldnt
want to replace my Aeromovive fuel pump that costs more
than the fire system right?

That is just one of the reasons I wouldn't own a DSM. Those things blow up left and right. :rolf

WeRd!!

So lets see....

- He wont get insurance money for it, since it happened at the track,... right?

- Do they have some sort of 'Hobby' insurance that WILL cover your car at the track?

- And, Im guessing the track will charge him something for this happening, right? Using up all their fire extinguishers, and postponing the racing.... :goof

- Wont the Fire Department charge him for coming out there too???

In other words.... that is one EXPENSIVE mishap... :wow

It was a shop car if I remember correctly. Fuel line broke.

Yeah, that was Bill Lowe's old car. His son was driving it. The shop is Showdown Motorsports.

If I remember correctly, the fuel line blew...or it was the fuel rail blowing off. One of the two.

Total loss. :(

Thankfully, they received a number of donations and gifts from friends that they made their new 1G race car that was running 9's in 2005.

Currently he is #6 for fastest DSM's in the world with a 9.356 @149mph.
