stepping up to a Dominator Joe? Or how about EFI on a big cube? THAT would be sweet! a 632 Big Chief with EFI!

Wouldn't happen to have 4-corner idle would it?

Jason,
no EFI for me! I also will be a few cubes short of 632, I will need at least a 950cfm, though.

Tiresmokin, I will check on that for you.

Chris,
Let me know, I just don't think 800cfm is going to cut it...maybe a holley 950 HP?

Keith,
it is coming along, the short block is built, just need to pick a cam...kinda confused.
It will be fully forged including a 4340 crank just incase I decide one day to set the suspension up and get rid of the "stock appearing" look and throw some juice into it.

I have an 870 holley for sale for about the same price with 4 corner idle.

Does it need a rebuild? How many miles on it?

The 950 will be a good size...the 870 wouldn't be bad either.

Joe, the best way to select the cam is to know what's up with your heads (IE flow numbers)...that said, you'll probably end up with something spec'ing in the 240-250 degrees @ .050, with the lift being dependent on whether you select a hyd flat, solid flat, hyd roller, or solid roller...cost wise, and ease of maintainence, I'd probably just go with either of the two biggest hyd flat tappet from either compXE or lunati voodoo...either will give you a kick ass sound.

If its not a daily driver go with a soild cam, thats "The" sound for HP big block Cheevys. Maint shouldn't be a issue, maybe set the lash once a year if you've got a good valve train......

A freind of mine has gone 9.50s @ 3300 lbs with a 850 on a N/A Buick.....You sure you really need more than a 800?.....I'd keep the carb for now and see how it runs on the new motor....

Keith you are right. I will keep it and give it a try. Chris AKA Mr. Valiant, the biggest voodoo and XE require a 3500 stall converter....a little extreme for what I use the car for. This MAY go to the track once this year at best. I will have to investigate some solid cams.

I think your confused, you don't need a "Stall Convertor" with a M-21...... .... :D

A good 3500 stall won't be a problem on the street if you have enough cooler and 4.11s....

Keith,
My car is being converted to either a T350 or T400. I guess maybe my sig needs to be updated. I am not going to buy a strong M22 for $1800 that may not still hold up to this engine when I can get a T350 or 400 for a few hundred bucks that will last and be a consistent performer.
