I managed to score a very cool (cheap) project yesterday.

It's from an odd moment in FWD Perfomance history and I know some of you will not be into it at all but I'm in lust (6th Shelby Charger for me :banana1: )

1984 Shelby Charger, Blue w/silver stripes. 49k on the odo. Has a full direct connection kit in the engine (crank, cam, 13-1 pistons, 2 Webber Dual throats, MSD ignition, header, no cat) Full set of liquid filled auto meter gauges, Auto meter tach with shift light, minty fresh interior other than the smell. It's supposed to be a non stock trans also but haven't confirmed that yet. Still titled in the orignial owners name (Bruce Lee!) Gatorbacks on Enki wheels (have the reciept for the Gatorbacks and dude paid over $800 for them) Came with a good portion of the stock parts and needs minor body work to look showroom. The car also has A/C (It was replaced with a Mopar aftermarket set up, have all the paperwork).

I also got ever reciept for the car from 85 til the guy gave in. Very, very, very nice car. Also came with the Webber carb manual. Right now it has the std carb/manifold on it. Supposedly it has a blown headgasket. Need to investigate....

$350!!!!!!

Life is good.......

I have been in lust with them since the 84 Auto Show at Mecca. Sat there and stared at that car for the longest time.....

From what I have been told this car ran mid 13's when it was fresh. The guy that built it spent more than the MSRP on the car in mods.

My buddy had a few... He had a early 90's Red and Silver SC and a '87 or '88 Black and Gold Dayton SC.
We used to hit the Hwy alot, but he always kept loosing the driveshaft...
Always blew and engine though so he had quite a few spares motors, he would install one over a weekend when he blew one.

I believe his best time on street tires was a 13.8.

If you dont already have the Mopar 2.2 Performance book I
have one you can have. Has a bit of trivia and info on your
high comp NA setup, good read on buildup.

Here's the supercharged version:

I will have to check that out! The one book I really need to get is "Build A Drag Race Dodge Charger" it's P4286872 I have seen a few copies on E bay and found some at online stores.

You'll have to come over and scope this car out. I look out the back window all the time and feel like it's 1990 again. :banana1:
