I thought the 5.0 HO engine was a roller cam engine and the non HO isn't..

he is asking if the motors are the same both are 5.0 ho motors. the intakes are different. the other question was exhaust port diff. on h.o vs. non h.o the ports are still the same. not surewhat the roller cam has to due when they are both the ho motor

They all have the same heads, period. E7's, found on anything from cars to trucks. The intakes are the same just on varying cars they are reverse mounted.

Any other q's??

What makes a HO 5.0L different (and more powerful) than the non-HO 5.0L.....?

Coop is close. It's not just the engine. It consists of an ecu, the H.O engine with a Mass air set up has an A9L ecu or equivalent. The EFI 5.0 does not. Also the cam is not the same. Gross lift in an H.O is .444''. It's a full rolller engine minus roller rockers.

Stock h.p 225 from 87' and up, a 5spd car will have 5 hp more. For the new design that started in 87' the engine adopted a better head design compared to previous years.

Roughly the cam, ecu and better induction proved more powerfull than a non H.O engine. If you were to ever to build one, make sure you convert it to mass air, up untill late 88' they were speed density. Speed density does not support upgrades well. Mass with the right ecu and chip will support anything.

I thought it was more than that.....

the only diff to a cobra motor from that internnally i think is just roller rockers and intake right
