I had a demo done yesterday and I had to buy it. This thing is superbada$$!! A 2.5hp vacuum is the shiznit!! I was amazed to see it compared to my bissel. Well worth the $$, at least now my obsessive compulsive wife can cut down on her cleaning time.

Yup, I had an old one and it was the ****... My dad bought one... AWESOME vacs, I just don't wanna drop the coin on one of 'em... lol, so I have a Eureka... works for me for $99 @ Walmart... The best part about the Kirbys is that they're completely rebuildable incase anything happens, and they last FOREVER...

Actually we have a Dyson and that damn thing is completely awesome... Expensive as all hell but it was worth every penny...

The wife has asthema, and she rarely has a flare up anymore a few weeks after got the Dyson... It is amazing how much that damn thing picks up off of already spotless floors... The amount of dust in our place has gone down drastically...

I have some really bad allergies and between all of my filter and the Eureka I do alright...

We were looking at a Dyson too, but the power of the Kirby is sick plus the attachments are unbeatable! I relieved alot of breathing issues and sinus infections by simply replacing my furnace filters every month but it took too long to finally figure it out. The demo showed how it can suck up dust mites, sand and baking soda from deep down in the carpter. We even tested it against my Bissell and it picked up TONS more crap...it was donwright disgusting!

I have an older one that still works great. There is a Vacumn store in waukesha that has all the bags and attachments. They do repairs and even have used ones for sale. Great place if you need extras

Never thought I could justify a $500 vacuum, but we have the Dyson Animal, and the thing just rox. It sucks up like 1000x more dog hair/everything.
I could go over the living room floor like 5x and still see sh1t swirling in the cannister. :headbang

When I was growing up, we had a Kirby. The old metal one, and it never broke. I'm pretty sure my mom still uses it.

My parents still have my Grandma's Kirby that she bought when my dad was a kid. When she bought it she got all the attachments, theres a huge box of stuff for the thing. Theres a wallpaper steamer/remover atachment, some kind of painting setup, something where you hook it up to a water tank for steam cleaning the carpet.... It reminds me of a farm tractor with a PTO, you can hook up just about anything to it.

I remember my mom had a Kirby when I was younger. I was told they were overpriced for what they were. Now that might be a different story. Our family have always had good luck with the higher grade Panasonics.

A friend of mine bought a new one off eBay a couple months back. Loves it, but his wife says it's a bit heavy.

I thought about that but this way was the ONLY way to get it forever warrantied with no out of pocket repairs plus they allowed 90 days same as cash. The coolest thing was taking the handle off and vacuuming up the mattresses. Even with flipping it every other week and bleaching crap every week youd be surpised how much dust comes up out of the bed.

My wife and I picked an Ultimate G up a couple of years ago. It's a great vacuum! It is little heavy but definately picks up alot of stuff from the carpet.

I prefer my 6.5 hp shop vac which doubles as a leaf blower
