Turbo tax is cake!! Even with a home business and home deductions. If you mail out your refund then its free, we chose to file electronically so we could get the cash asap but we paid a processing fee of $49. I was ready to do mine the 1st week of jan but I had to wait for my mortgage and wife's W2 to come in. I hate that they wait till the last minute.

Yoo, you should have asked this question before you shelled out the green. :(

You can figure your taxes and E-File for free using a number of websites available through the IRS website (http://www.irs.gov/efile/article/0,,id=118986,00.html) . But in order to do it for FREE, you HAVE to go through the IRS, so click on the link I provided and away you go. I've filed using H&R Block's Tax Cut website via the IRS for the last 2 years. My sum total of expenditures? $0.00

Oh, they try to sell you stuff along the way, but I just ignore all of that, and take the freebies. :thumbsup

I get mine done for free on base. Just have to print out my W2's, and bring my ID card. In and out in 5 min, and the $ auto-magicly shows up in my account in about a week.

It'd be great if my employer would send out my W2's. I could really use the cash!
