Buddy of mine is throwing the idea around to open his own bar/lounge/club

Just talk but you have to start somwhere :thumbsup

I'm looking for web sites that have business listings around milwaukee, closer to down town the better.

Not sure if he's looking to purchase or lease, my guess is lease because purchasing one would be a Nice Penny.

Any help would be great, I googled it and so much garbage comes up :durr

there are a few main companies that own most of the property downtown, Barry, a few others. best way is to kinda drive around and look. your buddy should pick out an ideal location

Give this one a try. Not sure how in depth it gets but worth a look.

There should also be comercial real estate brokers in the Yellow Pages that can dig stuff up for him.

Tell your friend, if this is his first place, stay as far from down town as possable. Try a small bar in Cudahay or West Allis first. Then see what happens. Working at Have a Nice Day Cafe and talking to the managers/Owners, there is a lot more to do then just bar tend a few nights a week.
