I was about to buy an Optima because I thought I needed a battery but a bump in my idle and reground the terminals solved my dimming issues. I do have a rewound 185amp alt though and heavy gauge wiring for my stuff. I am using a 2 year old Nascar select battery and it still charges fine too.

DONT get a remy or Ac Delco. Id get a optima. I put a Red top in my cavi and love it.

Optima is pretty much the "best" battery out there. The delco and remy batteries suck in my opinion.

If you dont want to pop for a Optima. The Farm n Fleet batteries are also really nice.

go to Batteries Surplus (i think thats the name) in Butler on 124th. between hampton and SS, slightly south of Als. i got a yellow top probably 3 years ago there for 115. prob cheaper now. I also like Diehards quite a bit. always had good luck, and the warranty and such is easy.

Get a yellow top if youre worried about your stereo system sucking up a lot of juice...thats what the yellows made for

I got my Red top from Batteries plus on hwy100 and greenfield for $89 with 3-4 year warranty on it

Agreed... The yellow is a deep cycle battery with a bigger reserve capacity than the red. I bought my red from Auto Zone in Waukesha about 2 years ago, has a 5 year warranty, cost about $85 also.
