Hey there...

The 383 is yours! I just need to excavate it from the back of the garage. I need to get the engine stand empty for the 440 thats going to be here soon!

All I need to do now is find as much fiberglass crap as I can for the 70 Dart. The goal is 2800lbs without me in the seat.

Did I ever send you my #? Lemme know.

Sean

I've got a 65,000 BTU Dayton furance that heats my 27x45 garage with no problems, It is insulated very well though. $100 is a screamin' deal, I bought mine new 10 years ago, paid $360, at that time that was lass than half of list price.

I found this one on the Milwaukee Craiglist. The scary thing is that the dude had a hard time selling it. People E mailed him offering $40 if he would deliver it. He had another guy come over and say it was just too damn big for his garage but he'd haul it away for free. I didn't even try to haggle, just went and grabbed it and handed him the $.

If anyone here is looking for something like this let me know. I scan all the local for sale listings on a daily basis and am always willing to keep my eyes open!

Keith,
I am going to do a rebuild. The guy in Erin I called basically said he had no time because he does all of these race car motors. I didn't like the fact that he told me I could even get 500 hp with GM 781 heads. That is complete B.S.

Ya, he gets like that this time of year.....

It is a Cheeevy, I can see how 500hp would be tuff.......we could always stick a Buick in it, I could get 500hp and probably not have to touch the heads...... :nutkick :thumbsup

There will be absolutely NO problems getting 500hp out of the stock cast iron heads...and with a little work to the heads, more will be pretty easy.

Chris, you're not talking about a wedge or hemi headed Mopar, thats a BBC....Hell they can't even put the valves in the heads straight... :stare

Then agian, if he stuck a Mopar motor in it he wouldn't have any problems making 500hp either.....see now, he's got some options once he pulls out that truck motor....

How are the BCSM guys anti-social?
We have a cruise to Holz and Borchardts every year .
A few members make it to Solid Gold or Culvers or Georgies every week.

We've even done the Power Tour together.

Please define "anti-social." If by that you mean we welcome ANYONE to join us during ANY of our events, then I guess thats true. However, the real meaning of it is FAR from what we are on our site. You, as any other memebr of our site, are welcome to join us at ANY event. We asked for people to join us for the NSRA show to support our group. We had a fall cruise two years running where anyone was welcome and invited. (and no, your 'muscle car' was not required...daily drivers are welcome as well) We gathered as many cars as we could at Miller Park for the Power Tour and also cruised over half the tour. As previously mentioned, we get together early in the morning EVERY year to cruise together to Holz, Borchardts, and the final SGMcD'S show. Also, at least one member is always present at every weekly Solid Gold show and Georgies and usually at Culvers and other local shows. Many members frequent Oscars each weekend (and some weekdays!) and there are regular GLD outings we try to get together for. We even tried to start our own weekly gathering at A&W but had to cancel due to lack of cars showing up. EVERY gathering is posted in plenty of time for the show with all pertinent details to meet and cruise. What more can we offer short of pming each individual member which is obbiously un-realistic? Please feel free to come and talk with us at the WOW show in january. We as a group (also posted looking for entries) have 10 cars together for this particular show. If ther's more we can do, by all means post a suggestion and we'll see what we can do. This is a free site, a free club meant only to meet new car people and have a good time.

I never thought any of the BCSM people were antisocial. I have always felt welcomed to show up anywhere anyone was getting together even though I never have a car to bring. I haven't gotten to meet very many members but I would say that's more my fault for not getting out more. I pop over to Solid Gold , shot the breeze at Miller park for the Power Tour etc.
Now that I have a better looking car (still not a show car though) I hope to show up to more stuff this year. :banana

Any question you have is usually answered by those who know the answers...I didnt claim we were the answer people, only that we weren't anti-social! :thumbsup Seriously though, we answer what we know. If its a car show related question, maybe at that point no one is going or maybe is not sure at the time you post. You can PM me direct if you have a mechanical or parts related question. If I cant answer it for you, I can likely point you in the right direction.
