I figure since x-mas is right around the corner and everyone is pretty much holed up for the winter. Now would be a great time to help someone who truly needs help. I just got a call from one of my family members to see if there is anyway I could help this family, I said yes I could help in anyway possible.

This family is being devestated by a disease that there is no cure for, no drugs, nothing will help. It is a genetic disease that will sadly take their lives.

This family lives about 2-3 miles from where I live. What I am asking of all of you to try and help out a family who seriously needs it. They aren't your typical family who beggs or *****es and moans that the gov't didn't do anything.

So what ever you can to help Im sure the family would be greatful. Here is their website. http://schlaisfamily.org/

Not sure. I sent the family an e-mail with my contact info. I will post it up once I find out more info. It's a 1990 Astro van, so that says many things to me,

1. 4.3L
2. might be AWD (will present a problem)

If you guys want to help, I am going to fully fund this. Something tells me this is something I have to do.

The family lives right in New Berlin so it's pretty centralized for most people on here.

What if everyone here donates 1-5 dollars. Thats should make a difference right? I know this time of year I can't afford much.

Joe Brisk, owner of StaffWorks Staffing Services of Milwaukee and Green Bay, WI
* donation of a 2003 Toyota Echo
* donation of $10,000 to "Rebuilding Together" ($5000 from Joe personally with a $5000 match from StaffWorks) to help repair the Schlais home. Special thanks to Joe for setting up the fund through Rebuilding Together.
* donation of $1000 in repairs to the Schlais' 1994 Toyota Corolla

Sounds like they have one or two running cars. Maybe a cash donation would be better? I say we all try to donate $$ like Mike suggested.
