I had to appraise a trade today and it was a 2000 Z28 with a 6 speed. I had a chance to take it for a ride and get on it a little bit. (I didnt pound the hell out of it) and it seemed a bit slugish by the butt dyno. The car had 48k on it and was a one owner womens car. Do you think this car might just be loaded up from the lack of the women stomping on it from time to time? I mean I don't know, I have never driven an LS1 before.

You just need to learn how to drive. :banana1:

We took one in here and it was very sluggish... When it went through safety they found something wrong with the engine... I'm not exactly sure I didn't pay too much attention to it... From what I understand something was wrong in the lower end... I don't know exactly, I'll ask the set-up department what's up with it later... I don't think they're done with it yet...

it has been proven... many times...

that the vehicles from the factory that were beat on from day 1, are FASTER than the ones driven by Ms. Daisy type pussies :)

Why is this?

your guess is as good as mine... maybe "tolerances" loosened up, hahaha.

but it seriously has been proven and discussed about many times on the boards.

yet, it is one of those things that you can't REALLY justify since you can't take a "beaten vehicle" and go and make it stock again, haha

Just like any computer controled car the pcm learns driving habbbits. Beat on it from day one it will always like you.
And a sweet spot is 60 on the freeway in 2nd gear with 3:42s.

notice the thing does 55 in first?? the day i picked my car up i was racing syclone0044 several times with it, took it to the track with 1400 miles on it went 13.3 @ 108 with a 2.3 60ft, got some sticky tires and a airlid, went 12.701 @ 110 on a 1.9 60... not too slow... It makes a big diff if they are beat on in early life, rings seal tighter, motor spins faster, computer learn your driving style (fuzzy logic)... lots of factors

the gearing makes them feel gutless below 3K, its not an LT1 that makes all of its torque off idle.

well what if you reset the ecu, so it has to relearn??

also the carbon build up is alot less with a car that is beat on. once in a while any car should get a couple of WOT minutes in.also the injectors get a lsee change of build up developing because of the "traffic" if you want to call it that. but a cold car will not last long being beat on. let it warm up.

So what's this about breaking in a motor, where did that logic come from?

apparently the engine is totally kaput on that WS6. At least the guy who bought that GTO came out ahead. :rolf

**** they tried to sell it to my buddy bad motor and all..

maybe it's my LS2, but she feels plenty strong from 3k to the 6500 redline. I'm assuming it is since the two engines are set up a bit different.

Yeah that's why we're not SUPPOSED to sell vehicles BEFORE they have been inspected... But some salesmen have a habbit of doing that, and then they lose the dealership money when we have to fix something big... Of course at that point Ernie blames it on management... And ... Well the rest is history... lol
