:) Off to a slow start organizationally - to be expected for the first time, but seemed to finish really strong with the sled count really picking up before My kids and I had to leave for other family things going on. I never dreamed I'd be driving my sled abound the pits and jumping off snow piles during those 90+ hot summer race days last summer. Only real complaint was the unecassary music blasting at the starting line, hard enough to talk to people with the sleds running. The track was only 500' which is not heplfull to my "Triple" Ski-Doo which really doesn't start picking up steam until the end of the track but was able to pull off a few wins. The picks are from a nice guy I raced a few times on a nice Polaris that my daughter took, I'm sure others have better ones - post em up :banana

Great Job GLD and thanks to those who I'm sure worked hard to pull it off - I'll Be Back

Yeah that was fun, it was nice meeting some of you guys.
Man I could have used a set of picks on my track. I had nothing more than a 600cc roto-tiller at the starting line, resulting in my a$$ getting handed to me several times. :chair:
It'll be intresting to see the launch area when the snow melts, that's gonna leave a mark.
Modmachz had the wheelie contest hands down, he almost took you out once juicedimpss, I give you credit for standing out there as the official starter.
Where can we see some of the other pics and videos?
Mike

Ditto. I felt like a fool out there with my skis on the ground all the time. Only Advantage was i could get a little run after the holeshot, while the other guy was putting his skis back down. After that, I was getting chased down by the bigger CCs. Had a blast, learned a bunch.

The GLD website has some pictures http://www.greatlakesdragaway.com

There was a 1985'ish imdy 600 that was rockin out there, you have to remember the new sleds are much heavier. If you set up the 440 to run,it will....

Actually, the guy watching had a 800 REV that was set up for grass drags. He smoked everyone I saw him line up against. My take on the picture was he was just hanging back for the entertainment :)

I wish I wouldn't have taken my sleds up north two weekends ago. I have my drag sled set up for 660' now which would have ran good. Maybe sometime this winter if you decide to flood the area, on snow I will just sit and spin. :wooo

after the trail sled beat it up for a while, the snow on the track gets thin,I was hooking fine with a speedtrack.

Hey I put my old ass trail sled up against anything that day. Didn't matter. I lost alot won a few, learned some stuff, but had a blast the whole time. I was able to go through a half a tank of gas I made so many passes. It was great. It's a great way to really see what you sled can do when you let it all hang out, with out having to worry about running into someone else. If they throw another one of these things I would recommend you go burn some miles off; you won't regret it.

Maybe I will after I add some picks. This sled doesnt like to hook without studs.
