About to hit up some yards but figured to ask here first, if anyone has drivers and passenger side steering knuckle setups complete, spindle/hub/rotor/calipers in good shape or knows where some might be. Looking to upgrade one of my cars this winter and these setups are 99% bolt-ons.

Ill Check with a Friend. Does it need to be from a 2wd or 4wd?

Both will work but 2WD prefered, from what I've read.

Hey go for a 98+ 2wd Blazer setup. It has the dual piston front calipers and the hub and rotor are separate.

Also if you get a 4x4 setup the backspacing is different and you'll have a hole where the halfshaft goes in.

Yea, I meant 98'-03'ish for the purpose of getting the dual piston caliper and larger rotor....hopefully those hubs are durable...seeing the prices kinda scares me :wow .

Went to Al's today and they had a couple sets of these for a 4x4 Blazer....darn. They are only asking $50-60 per side too for all of it(spindle/hub/rotor/caliper)...might just wait till they get a 2wd for that price :).

I have brand new 2" lowering spindles But I think they will not work past 97-98 I will go check the numbers on them...

Here we go, 2wd lowering spindles fit...
82 - 97 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer
82 - 03 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup
82 - 03 GMC Sonoma
82 - 97 GMC Jimmy

By the way the 4x4 spindle will not work, it has a hole in the center for the front drive C/V spindle end that goes right through it.

Would you happen to know if the hubs are the same for the 2wd vs 4wd? There is a member on here who has stock 2wd spindles he offered me since he used lowering spindles. If so I could purchase his and the 4wd stuff at the yard and make it right :).

Thanks for the info on the lowering spindles. I will be using Eibachs and along with the taller ball joints I am using my front end should drop 1.5" already though, which would be perfect :thumbsup .

Gotta love GM parts interchangeability for all these neato swaps.

The Hubs are different, along with the wheel off set required to clear the FWD. The FWD, AWD, 4X4 are the same as a 93-2002 F-Body and Corvette, the 2WD IS COMPLETELETY different, what kind of vehicle are you working on? I might have what you need for free as I own a cutom auto shop in Portage WI.

These are for my 87' Monte. Its a nice budget upgrade that some folks have been doing for g-bodies for a few years now. Using the dual piston caliper setup and 11" rotors, better than what is stock for the g-bodies and is a direct bolt in as the spindles match up perfectly. All that is needed is a brake line adapter for like $5 and bleed and you're good to go :D.

If anyone has or can locate a good set from a 2wd 98'-03'ish Blazer for a good price I'm definately all ears. Current plan is to call a few more local yards and/or wait for Al's to get in a 2wd setup since their price is very good on the items.

Since my front end is getting completely rebuilt/upgraded this winter and all apart at the moment, I decided to go this route instead of new stock rotors/pads.

Hey I am doing my 1986 Pontiac Grand Prix also! I am installing my 383 Vortec stroker motor, and I am using 2 inch S-10 drop spindles on that (huge collection of S-10 parts from the truck years) anyways what your looking for is a 98 up Xtreme Blazer, they are all 2wd, they also have 8.5 rear end with LSD and disk brakes, and a hop shock that works like a traction bar (horizontal shock absorber). And a quick ratio steering box borrowed from Z28 Camaros...

Here is a pic of my daughter in-laws Xtreme, we lowered it at my shop, added the 18"s and painted the pink flames, we are in the process of building a 383 stroker LT1 for it, that will be in with a T-56 before the snow melts.

Thanks for the info. Are there any other Blazers that are 2wd from those years besides the Xtremes? I thought there were and of course those setups would work too...sounds like a nice GP in the works you have. Any pics?

The brake upgrade is refered to as *ZQ8 brakes* even though they are on non ZQ8 optioned Blazers, IIRC. Apparently S-10 guys do the swap often too.

Cool truck mike!! You have anywhere to recomend getting a T56 rebuilt? I have one for my 4.3L but the synchros are shot.

Also PB86MCSS

I hear ya those hubs are INSANE!! Try to find a below 40k set and you should be set. Alotta guys like myself are doing that swap too! SSBC also makes a larger rotor/3 piston caliper for a good price(for the blazer spindles).
