I was talking to/asking you guys about the Army/Military a while back, and a couple weeks ago I finnally joined. I'm a 52d, got a 12k, signing bonus, and I will be leaving 20060103 for Fort Knox for BCT, after that I have 11w 2d at Fort APG for AIT. :thumbsup

He said "signing bonus" so that would mean just for signing up. I don't know what the terms of his contract are though if that's what you were referring to.

just was curious as to what job gave 12k.....i joined the marines and got screwed out of a bonus and lcpl. but i'm not mad about that.....

52d is a Power Generator Mechanic, I wanted to get into vehicle mechanics but they wouldn't let me because of my suspended licence, so this was the next best thing. As far as getting my 12k, I get 10k (minus taxes.. of course, ****ers) after I finish BCT and AIT, so about May. I get the remainder (2k) a year from that date. The bonus was a combination of a 4yr enlistment bonus, and a high demand job bonus. And yes, I leave January 3rd. I'm looking forward to it, i'm expecting to hate BCT, but after that I think it will be a fun experience. :)
