I agree..... :D

When a LS1 powered anything lines up against my stock block/heads 3700lbs GN and beats me then I might give them a little respect.....Till then I'll continue to think they make a fine little girls car........ ;)

We going to line up next year Jeff?..... :Hump

Factory stock 51,000 mile short block, stock ported heads, stock intake, stock headers, stock computer, stock 200R4 tranny, factory stock gears, ice cold A/C, Power everything............Oh and 3625 lbs brick with only 6 cyls....... :rolf :rolf

The class I run in I'm mid pack......a lot more Turbo Regals out there faster than mine....... ;)

Issues in a understatement......I "think" I've got it figured out.....

May step down a class.......need to run a factory stock turbo and intercooler.... :stare

Keith, what's the last two numbers?

My stock block, stock ported heads, 100% stock intake path, and wittle 75 shot was close to that time, weighing at 3400lbs. and the 6cyl comment, you know better than that arguement ;)

Somewhere in the 30's, the MPH was down 4-5 with the 20MPH headwind, think the effected the ET any?....Nawwww..... ;)

I wonder how fast I would be with a TH350, big bore, headers, 200lbs+ pounds lighter, no A/C, light weight seats, a better aero body and that killer torque arm suspension....... :shades Ya....know...I must be getting old (older?), I kind of like my A/C, overdrive, and comfortable power seats that you LS1 guys have to gut to go fast (for a LS1) ....... :thumbsup

Look on the front page of BCM......why is there a import at the top of the 1/4 mile list on a predominantly F-Body sight?......... :rolf :rolf

yeah my 8 way power seats and AC worked nice when I drove it to michigan in the 100 degree weekend this summer. that trip along was farther than your car moved this year keith. did your GN even make it to the track this year?

mine weighs in at 3550 with me, so dont cry about the weight

If i cared all about that stuff, then i'm sure it'd be on the car :) wonder what I could do with a big turbo on a stock displacement LS1 w/ A/C and all that crap with a HEAVY 4L80E in the car? oh yeah, been done before, 8.9x @150 give or take :) Your slipping grandpa

i was still quicker than you this year :) think of it as "bugs" being worked out on both of our cars :)

One car ran one number once.....(yawn)....I can show you a GN with A/C and power everything that just ran 8.4's, at 3550lbs, on a stock suspension and drag radials...... :wooo .....Again only one car....once....(yawn).....

Are you SURE you were quicker this year?.........I usually don't count TnT times... ;) ....You might have had "bugs" this year, my $hit was freakin possessed......

If you LS1 guys don't hurry and step up I may have to build a car to show you how it done.....

damn well better agree...

let's see, i've had this combo at the track maybe a total of 5 passes? and only 2 with the spray.

i think you should do it. make a fast LS1 and show us how.

there is fewer parts for the LS1 cars than there is GN's. come on, dont play that card. hell we are just FINALLY getting some aftermarket casting stuff. how long has the stage2 stuff been around?

god i love getting in these bitching fests...

Well..Ya...I guess I did say that  We'll have to line after I embarass Jeffs fancy little red sports car with my mullet machine......

For real, the LS1 powered 7 is way cooler than a LC2 powered car, to many Buick powered 7's running around already....

Compare the Stage II stuff to the stuff that Ronnie Duke is running, all race stuff not even really related the street stuff.......

Didn't I just read in GM Hi-Tech about 19 different Gen III based cyl heads?......I have a choice of 2, one set that that you have to pull every few runs to weld the cracks and another set that you wait a year or 2 or 3 to get..Oh wait..make that 3 choices, you can port the stockers (like I did) and if your good get a good 200-210 cfm out of them.... :crying How many intake manifolds out there for a LS? motor....We have one, of coarse you can get on the waiting list and you may see it in a year, or 2, or 3????? How about headers?....ATR makes a nice set.....to bad they went bankrupted a few months ago, TA is making them now, get on the list, maybe in a year, or 2, or 3......

So you think I should build a car......The only problem is I like a challenge and a LS1/2 looks like they would be easy to make fast.. ;) ....But who knows, you might have your wish next year...... :devil

yeah, we are FINALLY getting into a good portion of aftermarket stuff. and ONE guy with unlimited resources running a number doesn't mean anything. that guy is so well off in regards to $ it's not even funny. so i don't count people like that.

i honestly have no clue about the GN market. so other than what Gino told me, i figure you have like 40 different turbo's you can crank up the boost with.

i figure you have like 40 different turbo's you can crank up the boost with.

So, whats stopping you from putting any of those 40 turbos on a LS motor...... :goof

Whats really sad (good?) is all the new turbo tech is trickle down from the import market....A friend went from the P-trim 70 (old school) to a 70 GTQ and picked up 5 MPH with 5 PSI less boost with the same spool time....This new import stuff rocks..... :shades

Not with HI Flow's new setup. You can even use a 4" down pipe with the factory K member

You need to be the first in the state to get one. :thumbsup

Naaah, i dont like some of the positioning of that system. that and while it being a very good deal, I think the custom plumbing of where i want it since I don't need all that stuff, would be alot more cost effective. although their headers are pretty pimp
