Here's the deal: SLP headers, flex pipe leaking- all I need is someplace that will cut out the flex and replace it with straight pipe. Midas won't touch it because it's "not a factory part", and Wisconsin Muffler didnt want to either. Anybody have any recommendations?

What ever happened to places like Herman's Muffler shop, that would tackle anything!
You might want to try OTE; I know they have done exhaust work before. Give 'em a call http://www.otedesign.com

Is there any way of really getting rid of that damn header tick (valve tapping sound whatever it is) with SLP headers?

Mufflers and Pipes on sunset in Waukesha will do damn near anything you need. My brothers and all of our friends only go there now and no where else. We have all had work done there and it was always perfect. :thumbsup

You guys rock!

Jeff I figured you were pretty busy these days and didn't want to bug you.

Cryptic- I had my flex pipe wrapped in header wrap and it quieted down the tick considerably- but since I'm getting it completely removed due to the leak, it should be MUCH quieter I'm hoping.

let me know how that goes... I so tired of hearing that crap. I initally wrapped it, but it cmae loose over time and I stripped it off. It was rather beat up.

Sure is..replace the flex with a TOG flex..your ticking problems soon will disappear..and if you can get ahold of jeff..he is very good at welding exhaust components...good luck.. :thumbsup
