Well, the deal with the other guy fell through, so the car is up for sale. 1992 Galant VR-4 #845/1000, 192k miles, small 16G turbo, 2G exhaust manifold, Certified 3" stainless turbo back exhaust w/test pipe. Shepard racing trans with ACT 2600 clutch. New tires all the way around, new front cross drilled and slotted rotor and EBC "green" pads. Body, paint and interior are nice, has a little rust on the bottpm of the trunk lid. This was Mopar Jim's daily driver and I am sure that plenty of people on this site can vouch for it. Need to sell, $3750.00 obo. Will have pics posted later today or tomorrow. If interested, email me at jthemmes@ameritech.net or call my cell 414-333-0686.

I'm interested in it. But a few questions first...

-Can I get it with a cat?
-Are those miles the original on the engine?

Definitely calling tomorrow!!!

This might mean no A4 for me...

I'm back.

I thought another deal would go through on an A4 but they wanted too much.

Now about that VR4.

Can I get it with stock exhaust and front rotors? I don't like always-loud exhausts; that is what McCord plates are for. As for the brakes, I'm not a fan of the drilled rotors.

Also, what was the condition of the body.

Tell me something that I might not know. I only hear people say bad things about them. What is this about them cracking?

All right, if they are not bad, I'll take it with them. Just not the exhaust.

jbiscuit
12-22-2005, 11:23 AM
they COULD crack in extreme cases (ie auto X, etc) but thats not the point. The car has BRAND NEW rotors on it....BRAND NEW. Who cares even if they did crack. You can get Ebay blanks for it for probably $40!

Please tell me you are kidding... This car is 14 YEARS OLD the stock exhaust is long gone and like Yellow Wagon said, the rotors are BRAND NEW! This is not Burger King car sales, you are not gonna "get it your way"... The car is what it is. If you want it, you get it AS IS AS SHOWN... No customizing, no changing $hit out and NO lifetime warranty!!! I am sure your local Mitsubishi dealer will help you out with the stock replacement parts you desire should you really need them that badly...

Don't even attempt to bring cross drilled rotors to our event at Road America, but for daily driving it should work out just fine.

What are BlueBullet's goals with this car? Maybe the car is going to compete in in Sport Compact Car's Time Attack Challenge or something and the modified exhaust that comes on the car won't be sufficient enough.

Alright, alright...

I was just wondering what the possibilities were because you have more than one GVR4 on your hands. But if it goes as-is, I won't complain (that much). I'm not the biggest fan of modified exhausts, but then again, I have not heard it run yet. If it is not abnoxious, then I would be jiggy-with-it. If it was a bit on the loud side, a few baffles could fix that easily.

I do go auto-xing and racing and have burned the brakes on cars in the past that were waaay slower than a vr4 (my ls integra and a 79 fiesta (I was really pushing these cars, I was not driving them like an idiot)).

BTW- I am talking about auto-x at BFR or RA, not the Miller Park type. (auto-x II?)

I already have a caged race car, so mabey I won't torture a vr4 that much.

I wont ask for too much from ya.

I called you before and mentioned that I wanted to see it, but a few things got in my way so it didn't work out. I'll try again soon.

One quick question: when did you get that tranny for it?

Bullet, how are you liking the Galant?

It kinda went away

I like the idea of owning one, but I am just not interested anymore. I'm back to looking for a 5 door hatchback or a larger sedan. Whatever the car, it will see extensive use delivering pizzas: no real stress, just lots of miles.
